My husband's company was downsized and he has been out of steady work for 3 years. I NEED new EVERYTHING but I HAVE to find some lower priced makeup. I have to keep the same foundation I've been using, but I need EYE, LIP and CHEEK products. I've heard a lot of good things about NYX.

Here's the hard part: I have dark brown hair and blue eyes. I like to wear a fairly nude palette. Not the washed out nude, but well, you know what I mean.

Are there any NYX lovers out there who could suggest shades on any or all of the products I mentioned? Please?

Quinny - I'm sorry for the position you find yourself in and not being really sure of what to choose. I was just going through some of my makeup this morning and separating out a lot of Ulta eyeshadows, some NYX eyeshadows and lipsticks, and several Laura Geller powdered blushes....all still with a lot left, but I just honestly have more than I can use. If there's a way you can leave me an email address where I can contact you privately, and if you don't mind taking some already used products (I promise to clean and sanitize with an alcohol spray), I would happily send you a box of things to go through. Keep what you want and pitch the rest. Please let me know if you're interested.

Hi! I actually have not purchased anything from their nude or pastel palette, as I wear more darker lip and eyeliner products, but they are a good brand with a great selection! I like buying them from my local Ulta store because I enjoy actually looking at the physical item and selection rather than online. You can get deals sometimes in store and at Ulta.com on NYX; 40% off or BOGO, and I think the quality is as good (or better) than most. Good luck, and hope you find the brand works for you.

They have some beautiful eye pallettes though they are not very pigmented. I think the eye shadow singles are more pigmented. I use their eyebrow pencils and love their lipsticks and pink or peach cream blushes.

NYX Lip Goss in Crème Brulee is very flattering. I love it! Not too pink, not too nude.

How kind of you!
