Hi Lola,

First thought? Good N Plenty candy lol [I hate black licorice]. Also stirs a vague memory, just can't think of what it is.

Would love to see a holiday design.

Right now my nails are bare in need of some TLC.

Take care Lola. Thanks for your post.

Path

Hi Path! I know, reminds me of something too, and I'm not sure what.

I think I'm finally going to get some time to do my nails this evening. I have some TV shows to watch while I paint, which I like.

Here's one tip for quick nail pampering -- warm up some olive oil and give your fingers a soak -- great for moisturizing your cuticles and nails.

You take care too, Path!

Hi abbeythe8th, since you're the second (or third?) person to mention Good n Plenty, guess I'll have to check them out -- in all my years of candy-eating, I don't think I've ever seen / had one! Thank you, I'm so glad you thought this was a winner.

Lola- love the mani this week tres chic, so very girly, love the pale pink and stipes, wow just wonderful! I just bought a dot-stripe tool set from Sally supply and saw some nail charms but will buy those when I go back. Thank you for your thread, very inspirational.

Hi snapdragons, (one of my favorite flowers, BTW, I like to gently pinch their little "cheeks" to open their "mouths", LOL!). You're going to have a great time with your dotter / striper tool. That was my first purchase too when I started doing my own nail art. In fact, I think I used a toothpick to dot with on the first mani I posted here on BB.

You're welcome, and thanks for your post!

Beautiful Lola! And I love the color combo! I'm wearing Sally Hanson Insta-dri Snappy Sorbet. Kind of a neon peachy orange. Haven't done any embellishments lately but as usual you're inspiring me

Good morning, Andreatoo! It seems like it's been awhile since I've "seen" you on NOTW -- hope all is well with you and your fella. I looked up your "Snappy Sorbet" -- what a happy color -- makes me want to go to a tropical isle for the Holidays! Take care!

Hello, Lovelies, and Happy Saturday!

I was a bit late in realizing, it's been four weeks since I last posted a NOTW. I'll show you my favorite of the past month's mani's, although it's not Holiday-themed, I may post again this month to show you a more seasonal look.

This is what might be called a "skittlette" mani since each nail is different-but-related to the others.

I began with Nailtiques Formula 2 as a base coat (Formula 2-Plus on one fingernail, which seems to need extra TLC); then, OPI "Ridge-Filler" base coat to level out the nail surface.

On thumbs, middle and pinky fingers, OPI "Pink-ing of You", 2 coats,

Ring finger, OPI "Alpine Snow", 2 coats,

Pointer finger, Wet 'n Wild "Black Créme", 2 coats,

Seche Vite top coat.

Then, the fun and experimentation began: I bought a new striping brush as well as nail striping tape for those nail designs. I watched some YouTube videos and did some practicing with the striping brush, and thought I might be able to get a "good enough" result, but ended up re-doing a couple of nails and starting over with the striping tape, which gave a clean, crisp look but even with top coat and daily applications of Nailtiques, the tapes wanted to curl up at the naii edges, so I finally pulled them off and went back to the striping brush, which got this mani through the week.

I used Konad M79 image plate to stamp the thumb dots, Konad M3 for the middle finger bow, and hand-dotted the pinky.

Tell me, what have you've been wearing?

Oh, how lovely! It looks beautiful! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} You did that yourself? I just got some new nail polishes, too. I'm not able to paint it on as nice as you, but I like my new polishes a lot.
