@Shanus  Your new frames are so attractive . . . and such a great price! Enjoy seeing well again and rocking those pretty frames. Agree red ones would be fun for your second pair; and you would be stunning in them.

Thanks for the recommendation of a reasonable place with a lot of difference styles. I do buy frames with the seperate silicone nose pads for comfort and adjustability. Years ago I  wore the one piece plastic frames w/attached nose pieces. Those styles slid down my nose! Never worked well for me. Try on some of the frames with silicone nose pads the next time you are trying frames one. You might be surprised at the difference in comfort on the bridge of your nose.

I've worn navy or reddish to burgendy frames for years as a second pair. They give me additional color in my face, which due to lupus and unable to tolerate the sun, is needed. The more worn, the more they have become my "statement" piece. Friends think I'm not feeling well. How funny that it's simply a lack of color around my face!

@BirkiLady   Thanks for the compliments. The silicone pads, on me, need to be adjusted so tightly, they left marks on my nose. I did try frames like that. I found an “anti-slide” tip...either rub a pin point amount of Dawn (cuts the grease?) just where the frame hits my bridge or I apply some of my shadow primer, when finished w/ makeup  across my bridge. Works like a charm.

Been a huge fan of Warby Parker since 2012, and have worn progressives from them for the last six years.

For anyone wondering, the "Asian fit" is actually a 'Low Bridge' fit:

it's crafted for those with low nose bridges (if the bridge of your nose sits level with or below the pupils), wide faces, and/or high cheekbones.

@Shanus 's new glasses are the WP style 'Haskell' and the color is 'Crystal.  Nice choice.  8-)

Those are very nice. I also have a low nose bridge and high cheekbones, will ask about Asian fit glasses.

@feline groovy   My frames are similar to those, but they’re children’s frames (😂...add tiny face). I didn’t see children’s frames online. I did post a pic of what they looked like on a “grown up” woman. Hope I didn’t offend anyone calling them an Asian fit. That’s what the sales associate called them.

@Shanus Love the clear frames.  Think the red would be dynamite on you.

@Shanus   I had cataract surgery and no more glasses for me! I have 20/15 vision in both eyes.  I wore contacts and glasses my entire life since 3rd grade.  I hated wearing glasses!

@SeaMaiden   Not rushing to surgery, but think a lot of folks end up w/ cataracts as they age.

Re: NEW GLASSES FRAMES

[ Edited ]

@Shanus :

I'm guessing your new frames are the 'Percey' in 'Crystal'.

I like the look of a keyhole bridge.

For anyone else interested in the "Asian fit", when you're searching at Warby Parker online just use the filter called Low Bridge.

Here's some info from WP's online kids section - it's at warbyparker.com/kids.

Introducing Warby Parker for kids!

We’ve scaled down a few favorite frames—and really upped the adorableness—with our tinier friends in mind.

We shrank Wilkie, Lyle, Louise, Percey, Chamberlain, and Daisy into sizes suitable for kids ages 4 and up in a kaleidoscope of just-as-beloved hues Amethyst Crystal, Peony, Jet Black, Eastern Bluebird Fade, Oxford Blue Crystal, Crystal, Oak Barrel, and Tea Rose Fade.

Choose from two sizes: Jr. (for kids 8 and up) and Jr. Jr. (good for littler ones, 4–7).
