Thought I was hallucinating early this morning when I turned on Q to see the NEST fragrance lady.  Her opaque hose, sheath dress, pale lipstick, and beehive hairdo took me right back to the Jackie Kennedy years.  Have not seen this look on anyone since late 1960's.  All she needs is a pair of white gloves and maybe a Kelly bag.  She's a nice lady but doggone, she must go through a lot of hairspray.  I have to admit she looks very polished and sophisticated---many of us gals could take a lesson from her.  I say that while I'm sitting here in my sweats!

Oh Riverview, what great times I had there, loved it, cried when it closed, & yes those hair dos were the bomb

i've said it before:  she is elegantly put together, and yet so unassuming.  i enjoy her - and Midnight Fleur so!

She even sits classy. Reminds me how I was taught to sit in an etiquette class back when I lived in the south.

Re: NEST lady takes me back

I love her look! I just called to tell my mom to turn on the Q; she looks exactly like my mom did in the early 60s - a look that I've always admired on her!

I had to start laughing when I saw her.  I have a picture of myself and friends at Riverview Park in Chicago back in 1963.  My friend's hair was styled just like the Nest lady's hair.  My high school graduation picture also resembled her hair - only mine was more bouffant. Woman Very Happy

It was very much the style back then.  My sisters, both several years older than I, both wore their hair with the bangs like Laura Slatkin's.  One sister had long hair that she'd either put up in a bun or French twist.  The other wore her hair shorter, but still did the bang thing.  I was watching the movie "Charade" the other night (a favorite of mine) and Audrey Hepburn's bangs were similar.  Re: Riverview, Southsider here.  My sisters used to go there with friends or on dates.  I was too young, so I missed out.  Woman Sad

I agree that Laura Slatkin has a classiness about her.  She's calm and confident, and doesn't need to act loud and crazy to make a point or promote her products.

I normally find Laura Slatkin to be very classy and poised, but all day today with her TSV her voice has sounded like she is begging and pleading viewers to purchase and try her Nest fragrances.

Looks like she slept through the past few decades and just woke up. Not attractive.

When I see her I think stepford wife. Is it really her choice not to look at all current and to be that conservative? I suppose it could be but it doesn't feel voluntary to me
