Geez, I think my discussion I started the other day on NCN's copper and % codes got poofed.

Thoughts on the copper product? I've been using the Vit C and the peptide serum with decent results so far. I'm just about finished with the peptide serum and wanted to replace with the copper serum. I'm in my mid 40s with combo, acne-prone skin. I was also looking a substantial savings. TIA for any suggestions.

Gotpaw, I've been using nanci's Vit C and am really happy with it. I also have the copper serum. I haven't quite decided what specifically it is doing. Out of curiosity I've used it on some marks left over from scrapes. (I don't use it until it has healed over.) I have a cat. Need I say more.....lol. It seems that the scars are going away sooner. I've always been a slow healer. I wonder if it's doing the same for my skin - helping skin turnover.

I do know that my skin has improved immensely in the last month. I also use toners for my oily skin and large pores (Perricone & Korres) and 2% BHA gel exfoliator from Paula's Choice. 2x a week I substitute a 4% BHA Foam from paula.

And a moisturizer......in the am it contains spf. Also from paula.

I started using the NCN Copper about 3weeks ago & am really liking it. I apply it every morning before my sunscreen. Benefits I have noticed are softer skin and more even skin tone. It goes on easily and absorbs into my skin with no residue or tackiness.

For more information on what copper does for the skin, check the Truth-in-Aging website as they explain in some detail the benefits of copper/copper peptides. I do think there can be quite a difference in copper products made by different companies which could affect their impact on the skin. Some are much stronger than others it seems.

I find that I can't use moisturizer in the mornings because it makes it too oily/moisturized. I moisturize my eyes and use Paula's Skin Balancing Antioxidant Serum, plenty of moisture there and it leaves a matt finish. I use Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Toner before the serum. My Paula's Resist Foundation is plenty moisture as well. I top it off with Resist Satin Powder and/or NYX Stay Matt Powder foundation for extra coverage in those spots under my eyes and blemishes. I clean my face when I get home from work with a facial wipe. I have the free Yes to Carrots ones, but will pick up the WM ones when I go since they aren't drying. I found the Yes to Grapefruit ones to cause dry patches on the tops of my cheeks, though they are supposed to be brightening.

I don't have any experience with the NCN product, but I can tell you this. Vitamin C and Copper are good for your skin, but they should not be used at the same time as the Copper could/would render the Vitamins C inactive. If you want to use both, it's recommended that you use the Vitamin C in the AM and the Copper in the PM.

Gotpaw, I just received a sample bottle of the NCN copper peptide serum and full size bottle of the Vit. C serum about a week ago. I like both serums. My skin is normal/oily T-zone and neither serum is sticky or oily. Both have nice slip and are easy to spread. I use the Vit. C in the morning and the copper peptide at night.

I was a little concerned about the sea kelp in the NCN Vit. C and copper peptide serums causing breakouts but so far, so good, no breakouts. (Iodine in marine products/food can cause breakouts in some acne-prone individuals). I like that the copper peptide serum has Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) in it to promote new cell growth.

I also am using NCN's Formula 7 (for hyperpigmentation) and that does leave my skin with a sticky feeling, too greasy to use during the day under makeup but ok at night.

The NCN copper peptide serum is the first generation of copper peptides, GHK-Cu, and that is what you want, not the second generation of copper peptides that Skin Biology sells. I went through two bottles of the SB second generation copper peptide serum and it did absolutely NOTHING for my skin. I've come to the conclusion after further research that the SB second generation copper peptide serum is basically a serum with blue dye in it (snake oil). Don't waste your money on it. From what I've read, however, the SB first generation GHK-Cu products are the real deal.

An estimated 700,000 people around the world, 400,000 of them children, have died so far due to the discontinuation of the USAID program.

Oh wow, I wouldn't have known that so I really appreciate the heads up. I have been using NCN Vit C serum for several months and I like it. I didn't expect it to be so fluid and I find it a little difficult to apply - maybe I'm not doing it right. My skin does seem different since using the NCN Vit C and the NCN matrixyl peptide serum but I can't explain it - just better. I was going to use the NCN Copper (the one for first time users) in place of the matrixyl serum at night since I'm just about finished with the smaller size bottle.

I love this serum. I alternate copper with the NCN vitamin C serum in the mornings. I feel like these 2 have given a glow to my skin that I have never had. I also think my fine lines look softer and my skin seems firmer. Nancy recommends on her website to take 1000 mg. of MSM and vitamin C to enhance the effects of the Copper, which I do.
