I went in to pick up LG brow marker. A clerk asked if she could help, yes, can't find the LG brow marker. She looked at me and said oh honey, you need a makeover, do you mind if I do you over?
I said no of course not. She called over another clerk and said let's do this lady over.
She took everything off except my LG eye rimz in plum like it hot on my top lid and LG purple rain inkcredible liner on the bottom last line. She said that is a good look for you, leave well enough alone.

She said do you have a preference for a foundation, no, she went and brought back Mally defender bb in medium light and I laughed, said I have this at home and like it, good, excellent choice for you. I said I also have BE serum foundation in bare shell, no, use the Mally defender bb in light medium, best shade for you and a whole lot better for your dry skin. She applied this with a brush.
She said I didn't need blush unless I wanted it, no, fine, usually don't wear a blush.
She said now, about that brow marker, lets try the LG and brought over taupe, brown and charcoal.

She tried all 3 colors, charcoal worked the best but not perfect. She asked if I was set on LG and I said no, just wanted to try a brow marker. She said I have a much nicer one with no undertones like the LG, won't show red on you.
She went and got Stila in taupe which surprised me since my brows, what I have are almost black but this works really nice and looks very natural, I bought this.
She said what do I do about that red dot between my eyes. I said I have to use a concealer on it but being so small it is hard to do decently so I came in to also look at the new NYX wonder pencil. She said to the other clerk, this is your favorite line so I will let you go and get some things from NYX.

She brought the wonder pencil in medium and put it on that spot, worked very well. She said I could also use this to line the inner rim if I wanted to as she does. I bought this as well.
She brought a butter lipstick, not the gloss but the plain butter lipstick in BLS22 which is a soft pink, very nice, is buttery and also bought one of these. I like this.
She said don't use any powder foundation on your dry skin, shows up lines you probably don't even know you have and just makes you look pasty as I said.
The clerk that brought the NYX over said she has the products she brought over to me but in other colors. She also brought over a chubby pencil saying I could use this as a shadow or liner. It is sort of a deep charcoal pencil on one end and felt tip on the other. I did get this but being they left my eyes alone I will try this tomorrow.

sorry for the separate posts but said I can't put that many words in a single post.
I am anxious to hear if any of you ladies use and like(or not) any of the products that were recommended for me.
I am now going to return my LG TSV unfortunately since I do like everything in the kit other than the powdery foundation. I should know by now I can't use a powder foundation even using it wet although I did think it really didn't look that bad but have to admit the Mally does look a whole lot better on me and doesn't show up fine lines/wrinkles at the corners of my eyes, crinkles, like the LG TSV one does.

the coverage is excellent. Read the reviews here at QVC on the product page, good reviews and is where I discovered it to start with. I don't like or use the brush that QVC sells with it so I use my real techniques expert face brush to apply it but I also have an oval sponge by Trish M from HSN that is very good. You can also use your fingers if that is your preference.
Pick it up at Ulta though where you can return it at no cost if for some reason it doesn't work for you but think you will like it.
It is buildable, never feels heavy on and lasts better than any others I have tried. Read the reviews on the product page for it. It does run light so check it out before purchasing.

@doglover3 Nice! Certainly sounds like you had a really fun experience at your Ulta. I have a brand new Ulta about 10 minutes from my house and yeah, I've been there a couple of times. The first time I went for just a looksey. I was overwhelmed at how huge the store is and how many products they have. No one asked me if I needed or wanted help with anyting. Actually, it didn't at all appear they had many employees at all which also surprised me.
I felt complelled to buy something so I picked up a new mascara which is not a maybelline which is what I always wear. I really like what I bought.
I walked through the entire store and found many of the PTR products I use which really excited me b/c I now do not need to get them just at qvc for higher prices with tax & s/h.
The 2nd time I went I was looking for a new LG brush. One girl asked me I needed help, I said no but then realized I really did b/c there are a ton of LG brushes. A foundation to apply BE mineral found is what I was looking for. I found the one I wanted but needed to ask help to find it among the many they have. Girl was very nice to assist but did not press me for anything else.
I'd love a makeover! I wonder if I went and asked if they'd give me one and help me pick out products (especially a new foundation other than a loose powder like BE) that looks better for me. I've used BE mineral powder for YEARS. Wonder what Ulta girls would suggest for me.
I have one question for you Ms DogLover, may I ask your age? I'm 62 soon to be 63 in April. your girl said to stop using the powder found b/c it ages you. Now I'm really wondering the same for me.
Thanks so much for your wonderful trip, experience and all you learned!

I am a fan of Stila, although I haven't used the product you mentioned.
Recently I bought the nude palettes by Maybelline cause they were on sale at Ulta. They are quite nice for a lower priced eyeshadow.

CoverGirl has come out with 3 new palettes in Nudes, Goldens and Roses called Tru Naked which is supposed to rival the UD Naked Palettes. These are at Ulta and various drug stores like CVS.
