What's funny is right after I posted to your talking about the L'Oreal Tru match, I saw a commercial on tv for it.  I chuckled a bit!  I didn't really look like a product I'd like to use though, I think it's the sponge applicator that 'holds' the product.  I'd give Mally BB more thought however.

No, The L'Oreal tru match lumi doesn't have a sponge. It comes in a pump bottle. I use my real techniques expert face brush to apply this although I do sometimes use the oval sponge i got from HSN Trish M sponge which  also works great but mostly I use my RT expert face brush.

Both foundations are great though, can't go wrong with either one.

@suzyQ3  Thanks for clarifying, since I'm unfamiliar with the L'oreal products, I had no idea.

What do you use to apply the one you use?

I use a brush. I put a little bit in my hand, dot it on my face, and then blend with the brush. It's not a full-coverage foundation, more light to medium, but it can be built up. I use one coat and then add a bit more to certain areas.

It's a nice satin finish with a bit of a glow, but definitely not any shimmer or glitter. It's less dewey than I was expecting, given the name.

The talk about this foundation often includes that it is a possible dupe for Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

Susy, that is exactly how I apply it as well and works wonderfully. I love this foundation a  lot. The Mally is also very good but huge difference in price makes me lean more toward this one which I love equally as much.

Both give a wonderful natural finish but the Mally is more matte than the lumi which isn't shiny but isn't as matte as the Mally which I do prefer, not a flat matte finish so do lean more toward this Lumi by L'Orea tru match.

Re: My trip To Ulta, Great

[ Edited ]

@suzyQ3, @doglover3  So after reading all that you girls have said about the Mally BB Defender, I did some digging around at a few of my fav sites and found it for the same price here ($45 w/brush) for $45 with brush, NO tax, NO s/h.

YAHOO!  I'm looking forward to getting my medium shade to try and if I don't like it and/or it doesn't give me the coverage I need, I can return it.

What a good shopper I am!!!!

please post and let me know how you like it as well as the color match. The light medium is the best for me in this.

I don't care for the brush that comes with it so use my real techniques expert face brush but you may like the brush that comes with it, is a flat one unlike the round top I prefer in RT.

the brush that comes with it is very similar to the one IT   has with their CC cream foundation which is way too heavy for me, sent that back. It felt like a mask on me and I didn't use much.
