My makeup for my birthday party today

Today my DD treated me and a few of my friends to high tea at the sweetest tea house in Alameda for my birthday.  It was so much fun and the tea and sandwiches and sweets were delicious.  I got some gifts and one of them was a huge bottle of Caswell and Massy bath gel.  Everyone said it smelled divine.  It's already in my shower ready to be used.  Also, got a gift card for Sees candy - @SportyShorty07 will know the candy I'm talking about.  It's also divine.  My DD gave me a huge bouquet of the most beautiful flowers.

For my makeup, I decided to try some new eyelights from RMS.  I know, it's never good to try a new product when trying to get ready to go out but I did anyway.  For my foundation I used IT CC Glow and used the method of putting it in the palm of my hand and then using a brush.  It worked great!  Love that method, works well for me.  Did my brows with Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil in #3 as well as a touch of the brow powder. Used a brow gel from NYX.  For my eyes I used a new RMS eyelights that I just received called Sunbeam on my lid and a bit into my crease.  Used a shade of light brown from the ELF I Love You A Latte in my crease as a transition and, as they say on YT, to blend the edges. LOL  Then used a bit of the Sunbeam eyelights to lightly line lower lash line.  Used the light shadow from the ELF palette under the brow   Finished off the eyes with Tarte tubing mascara in black.  For bronzer I used the RMS Buriti bronzer and for blush I topped the bronzer off with Crystal Slipper.  For highlight I used the RMS powder highlighter just a touch in the inner corner of my eyes and a bit on the cheeks.  For lips I used the Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude lip pencil and the Doll10 lipstick in Cappucino.

It all came out looking so nice and first thing my DD said when she saw me was "Mom, you look so pretty!"

Re: My makeup for my birthday party today

Happy Birthday 🥳 @JudyL

I know Sees  Chocolates. My mom and uncle told me about them years ago. They have a store in Greenwich Village NYC. Delicious, Enjoy!

How do you like the Eyelights?  I don't really care for them. I can't master the application and end up wiping it off and using other shadow. I find them very messy.  It's a shame because I have 3 of them.

Also, I want to ask you how is the buriti bronzer? I haven't tried it. But I love lip2cheek in Spell and Illusive.

RMS has been my make up choice for the last 2 years. I am really loving it. I never thought I'd say that about a clean beauty makeup brand.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your special day!

"Mom you look so pretty!"

Just what I was going to say but without the mom part Smiley Happy  I know you looked stunning.  Dallas has a See's Candy shop.  OK, I had to finally look up this RMS lady.  You guys talk about her so much.  Is she really 68 years old (now)?

How do you like the Eyelights?  I don't really care for them. I can't master the application and end up wiping it off and using other shadow. I find them very messy.  It's a shame because I have 3 of them.

Also, I want to ask you how is the buriti bronzer?

@KBEANS  - At first I didn't like the RMS eyelights either until I applied it with a brush.  I use the Sigma E57 Firm Shader Brush.  It has made it so much easier and not messy at all.  I put a little on the back of my hand, dip in the brush into the eyelight, then onto my lid.  Still have to work fast but it's so much easier for me to do it that way.  When I tried using my finger, it just made a mess all over.  I now have 2 of the E57 brushes just for using with RMS eyelights.

I like the Buriti bronzer a lot.  I use a Sephora 56 brush to apply it.  On me, it gives me a light shade of color.  You can add more if you want.  The thing I like about it, is that I don't have to worry about putting too much on because it's a soft shade.  That's probably better than saying it's light.  My skin tone is light to light/medium neutral.  If you have a lighter skin tone than me, I think it would still be fine but go lightly with it at first.  It doesn't turn orange, it doesn't look muddy, it's a nice shade of bronzer.  Gads, I hope this helps.  Not sure I described it very well.
