Love your new haircut!  

I spent many years trying to straighten my wavy hair, then spent years perming it.  Don't ask ... 

I treated myself for my nephew's wedding - went to a Deva Curl salon.  Two weeks before the wedding, I had it cut and then went the morning of, I had it styled.

So worth it!

i got my haircut and the hairdresser said why didn't i just use a curl enhancer and have curly look.  i tried it and i love it.

I had  my first and last Deva cut (in NYC) around 3 years ago- my hair was to the middle of my back and the layers  completely grown out.  I brought  a picture similar to @Squirrel Lover to the salon. The stylist insisted my hair looked best longer - I'd normally stay until it was right but it was several hours already and I had to get going. $150 later !!  I never went back....

85 is cheap for a qualified Deva Shan cut, I used to go to their salons and I think the cut was 140 and that was 5 or ore years ago. 

While I liked my hair wavier I hated the styling process and the crunchy feel of all the products in my hair
