Does yours? I just got the normal to dry for the first time. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks, all.

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

It does have a strong scent but I think it dissipates quickly (within a few minutes or less). Some nights if my allergies are bothering me then I will apply the ponds with a q-tip just to the spots that I'd like to treat instead applying the ponds all over my face.

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

Just picked up the travel size at Target yesterday and I find the smell very overpowering (not necessarily "stinky"). I will only be able to try it as a spot treatment myself. I put it on my forearm yesterday and I could smell it for the rest of the day so for me, I didn't find the scent to dissipate.

OK, I just asked the Ponds website for a refund. This smell is downright abusive IMO. (I never ask for a refund, but Ponds needs serious feedback.)

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

The OP, MissButtercup, said on her original thread about this product that she wasn't crazy about the smell either. But her results were incredible enough that she puts up with it.

I just got some and used it last night for the first time. It is a medium strong floral scent, imo. Not that bad to me at all. Once it's on my face, I can't smell it. I only smell it while applying.

I'm also using it on my hands and I can smell it there when I bring my hands up to my nose. The first few minutes are strong. After about a half hour I can still detect it but not offensive in the least.

That's my feedback for what it's worth. Kiss

To me the smell doesn't stick around too long, after a few minutes I don't even smell it anymore. And the product is working really well for me.

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

Thank you for the feedback. The top notes are a very strong version of SJP Dawn fragrance, but the base notes are toxic and last forever. Of course, we all have different noses.

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

Mine (normal to oily) does have a flowery smell but it wears off quickly (IMO anyway) and works well enough that I don't care about it. I will repurchase, definitely.

I have both formulas: normal to oily (large size) and normal to dry (travel size)...they both have the same scent...but the normal to dry is stronger.

Re: My Ponds Clarant Stinks!

It's a horrible screechy cheap perfume scent. I hate it. But I look incredible so I deal. I know I've complained about the smell vividly here too. The day they make something this effective at this price point I'll consider ditching , but for now it's my BFF. I actually like the texture and the way it leaves my skin. I detest the scent though. I think I'm used to it now. After applying I'm busy doing stuff and I forget about it. I feel your pain though.
