Question for anyone familiar with these machines. I almost bought this one but saw on the reviews that it was not long or wide enough (the part you lay on) for bigger ladies like me (I'm almost 6' and "curvy"). Is there a different machine that has a longer and wider platform where you lay? TIA!
Hi guatmum - I'm 5' 12" () and carrying extra baggage myself, so I opted for the 5 cord machine. It's wider and a little longer. Be sure to order the correct stand to go with it. It was waitlisted the other day, when I ordered my equipment (so I had to pay more elsewhere), but it's back in stock now.

I came so close to ordering it - but we're putting a roof on the house so we're pinching pennies now. Perhaps in the spring! Enjoy your new reformer!

Hi, PilatesLover! I'm thinking (hoping) they'll have a TSV sometime in January when they focus on New Years getting in shape stuff. Don't know if they will, but at least hoping they'll have a great deal like the one that pushed the button for virgosun.

Congrats! Let us know how you love it!

I'm so jealous!!! I would have one of these in a heartbeat if I could get rid of one piece of exercise equipment in my office/gym room in my house. Please post on how you like it.

Thanks for all the very enthusiastic replies! We have guests arriving tomorrow so I won't be able to have the reformer and stand set up until sometime on Sunday, and then I'll be on my way! JeanLouis, so glad yours arrived too! Much luck with it!

If you use it a Reformer will be one piece of home fitness equipment which you will never regret buying. The Reformer delivers such visible results to the body appearance without really ever feeling like you're killing yourself to get that way. My unit is one of the first generations of Reformers sold on QVC. I had used a Reformer and a Total Gym in physical therapy (post-op spinal surgery) and it felt so good. I would have bought a Total Gym too, but did not have the space for both.
Enjoy!!!

I have been looking at those for years and have never bought one. I think in the next few months I am going to indulge and get one. Keep us posted on how you like it after a few months!!!!

Hey! I was so bummed when I saw the threads about the *Reformers*.
I have what I've always called a *Rebounder*.
So I searched and it's what I have. I thought they came out with something totally different. LOL.
Mine is old school. It's made of wood. But she's a sturdy workhorse. We had our hardwoods redone and it matched beautifully. I have it on the far side of our bed so you can't see it when you walk in the room. Not that I'm not proud of it!
When I first started, I had trouble just getting up off the darn floor to get off of it! My knees look fine, but when I'd go to use them, they didn't work properly! LOL.
I didn't let that stop me. Now I can jump up off the floor as quick as my granddaughters. I never got the stand and I'm glad I didn't!
I've never tired of the thing, and I do go through periods with the elliptical where it's like "I don't see you--I don't see you" HA. Plus, I HAVE to watch TV when I'm on that thing.
But I can just zone out on the 'Reformer'.
Out of all the money I've spent on equipment, it's definitely the best money spent!
