@monicakm That's so funny -- you like it, but not IN the store!  I take coffee black, that's why I think there's is just bitter.  I do like their light roast and only get a cup when I'm cruising the Target aisles.  I enjoy it even more than usual when I'm strolling through the store and all the young Mommies have screaming kids in tow!!!  (Been there, done that, that's why it's sooo good now!! LOL!!!)

I'm the OP, I just got back from the dermatologist. The visit went well, she froze a couple of things and scraped off something else ( being light skinned I was a good candidate for it minimal scarring). I asked about my oily skin, she said you can't turn a gland off, I could take Accutane, so it's a no for me. As far as age spots I could get laser surgery but that's costly. She gave me a prescription for hydroquinone cream 4% but it's not covered by insurance.

@Jordan2  - I bet the hydroquinone will work great for you.  What about Retin A?  Have you considered?   When you go back, you should ask your derm about it.

@San Antonio Gal I'm going to try the hydroquinone, she told me to start in September. I got a prescription for 3 months with 2 refills. Insurance won't cover the prescription so that's on me. I actually don't need to go back until my next annual visit.

HQ won't do anything for oily skin. It's made to reduce hyperpigmentation.

@Jordan2  - I wasn't clear in my post.  Hydroquinone will work great on spots on your face - not for the oily skin.    I've used it in the past.  Good luck and keep us posted.

As I have stated I have extremely oily skin, nothing I do stops my face from becoming an oil slick. Yesterday I tried an experiment, I used my sunscreen and Glossier primer that is good for oily skin. I didn't use foundation, my skin didn't break out in an oily mess all day. I guess the culprit for me is foundation (doesn't matter type or brand). So I guess I either I go foundationless or use a foundation and have an oil slick.

@Franklinbell I have used hydroquinone prescription strength faithfully for 6 months. The spots have lightened up but didn't disappear entirely. I'm not going to use it anymore, I don't think the spots will lighten any further. I can't afford laser surgery so I will just live with them.

@Jordan2 Hey!  Good Rx is a dscount rx program.  Sometimes if a prescription is covered it may be at a discount.  There are several plans available, Good Rx, Single Care to name a few.  You go to the website and plug in your med and will tell you much it costs.  It can very helpful if a med is not covered.  it cant hurt!  Hope that helps you!!
