I don't drink coffee so never been in Starbucks, but I've used McDonald's napkins. LoL

I tried that Mally pink thing too but found it too unhygienic for me and like you said no place to store the sponge.

Though it's expensive, I've had some luck with Tatcha's The Silk Canvas as my primer. A tiny amount is all you need. I'm running low but am planning on trying the new Elf Putty Primer Lotion mentioned in a separate thread.

@sugar plum Good morning!  Funny about the Starbucks napkins -- while I do like a little coffee, Starbucks coffee tastes awful.  You reminded me about that Elf product - I think I have it somewhere in my drawer, will have to find it and use it today.  I'm at a point where I find that putting my face on is actually just a waste of my time.  Granted, having something on makes me feel better, but I think maybe today I'll just put on mascara (Lancome Monsieur Big is my #1 all-time fave) and some lipgloss and call it a day.  The first thing I run to do when I get home is wash my face and get into my comfy at-home clothes anyway.

I've read some articles that say red light therapy masks can help reduce oil production. Might be worth looking into.

I'm the OP, I have an appointment with a dermatologist 7/24 for a body check and to look at a couple of other things. I will address my oily skin with her and also ask about a medication to lighten some freckles and "wisdom spots", a doctor once called age spots that!

@Jordan2 Sending good vibes for a good dermo report.  I just resumed using my Paula's Choice BHA exfolient.  I like her line, but I never stick with it.  Honestly, with oily skin, my guess is the "less is more" is the way to go.  I used the Elf Primer Putty today.  Now I know why I had to dig it out from the back of my drawer.  I felt like I was clogging my own pores.  Not a fan of LG"s Spackle either.

ELF just came out with Poreless Putty in liquid form. I haven't seen it in stores yet, maybe you have to get it on their website. I want to try it, reviews are good.

@Jordan2  - Perhaps you can start Retin A (tretinoin) ?

I'm the OP, I just got back from the dermatologist. The visit went well, she froze a couple of things and scraped off something else ( being light skinned I was a good candidate for it minimal scarring). I asked about my oily skin, she said you can't turn a gland off, I could take Accutane, so it's a no for me. As far as age spots I could get laser surgery but that's costly. She gave me a prescription for hydroquinone cream 4% but it's not covered by insurance.

Exactly what @JeanLouiseFinch said.  Trying to dry up your oil only serves to create more.  You can find many YT videos on the subject.

@Icegoddess

Yes yes!  I remember discovering blotting papers in my younger years.  They were a game changer.  Some have powder embedded in them.

@BarbiHollywood

I feel the same way about Starbucks coffee IN the store.  I drink it every day at home.  I buy the blonde roast at WM.
