I've been using Josie Maran's Face Butter for some time, but it's just not enough when I get winter dryness. After reading a post from Musings of a Muse's blog, I decided to try two products she recommended that were on sale. The first is Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream (Item A358584). This moisturizer is fantastic. When I started using this, my face no longer felt dry and tight midway through the day, nor did it feel greasy. A little goes a long way. The cream comes in a metal tube and the package even included a metal key, the kind people used to use for toothpaste tubes, to turn the tube as it gets used up and get every bit out. I got mine on a 50% off sale, but I would repurchase at full price. It will be too rich for me in the summer, but I will use the rest up as a night cream and then repurchase next winter if I don't need it sooner.
Along with that, I also picked up the Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid (Item A358582). This also provides a big moisture boost under the Ceramidin cream and the two pair well. I'm not sure if I will repurchase this one next winter, but if I use the cream and find my results are not as good, I'll add this back into this mix. It's a BIG bottle - 5 ounces - and it's somewhere between a toner and a serum. I use it more like a serum, pressing it into my skin instead of swiping it on with a cotton pad.
