My Mother in-law completely lost her voice and the doctors are not helpful.

She had this cough since Sept of last year. About 2 weeks ago, she started losing her voice, it became so coarse now she could barely speak.

We brought her to a family doctor and he gave some coughing syrup, then some coughing medications but they had to stop the medications because of the rashes appearing on her neck.

Then we went to a different doctor and explained the situation. The doctor said not to worry about it and we came home with a week of antibiotics.

My mother in-law finished the antibiotics yesterday but absolutely no improvement. Her throat is still swollen, voice completely lost, and hurts when swallow.

I'm so worried.
