My Mary Kay moisturizer has been discontinued... any suggestions please?

I've been using Mary Kay #2 moisturizer in the summer and #1 moisturizer the rest of the year... for years now. It's been continued and a few sellers on ebay have some, but it's outrageously priced, because of the discontinuation, I assume. I'd appreciate suggestions for another moisturizer.

My skin is normal with slightly oily T-zone and forehead. I used Cetaphil moisturizer hours ago and I can still feel it on my face. I hate that feeling. I like one that just sinks into my skin. I've tried Hope in a Jar, but my eyes were sensitive to it. I would really like to keep the cost below $15, if possible. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Hi spent,

I hate it when that happens! Olay does that very frequently. I'm hesitant to try their new products.

Can you give a better description of Mary Kay #1 and #2 for those of us who are not familiar with the products?

Sure! #2 is called balancing moisturizer - good for any season. I used #3 (enriched) for winter, since it was a little more emollient. I'd just be satisfied with a nice balancing moisturizer - one that you can't feel on your face hours later.

THIS is a good one from Paula's Choice. It's a little more expensive than you wanted, but you can try it for eighty cents! Smile

Check out the CeraVe product line, they have formulations for normal/oily and normal/dry. This past Monday I purchased their cleanser, the am and pm moisturizers and the eye repair cream. I like this product because it doesn't irritate my dry/sensitive skin. The moisturizer sinks right into my skin. Also, the price is great.

Avon moisturizers are very good. The Anew line has a few moisturizers that you would probably like. If you buy Avon you can find a Avon representative that will deliver the products to you. I haven't been buying Avon recently but do like their moisturizers. If you are interested you should wait until they have some sort of sale. Serious Skin Care sold on HSN has some great moisturizers. Again, they sometimes have good kits on sale and a day and night cream combo that is a good price. Skinn moisturizers are also very good. I haven't bought any drugstore moisturizers recently so I can't suggest any of them.

This is an interesting article that I found about the best moisturizers.

For the drugstore price ranges, I like these:

Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 30 Moisturizing Face Lotion AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® CC Cream With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 AVEENO® CLEAR COMPLEXION Daily Moisturizer

I agree that PB has a pretty good and reliable line of facial moisturizers. I am using her Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense and the Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator at night. My skin feels supple without feeling that heaviness. They do penetrate my skin. Even at my age, 67, I have an oily complexion. These have far surpassed my expectations. I've used countless moisturizers both in high-end and drug-store lines. This one is now my HG.

I did try the gel, but it caused a little irritation. Give them a try. Quite reasonable, too.

If you are interested in any Avon Moisturizers, they have many different ones that are age appropriate.Find a Rep and she will give you samples to try them and you can make the decision..That's the nice thing about Avon and you can return anything you don't like ..even a LIPSTICK!
