Re: My Foundation Looked Perfect 12 Hours A Day in the Heat!!!

I'm heading out on vacation next Sunday, but I plan on not wearing makeup and not much more than a bathing suit!

I don't plan to pack much since we will only eat out once for Father's Day and cook the rest. Laid back and simple, condo, pool, beach, pool, condo, pool, beach, pool, condo......sleep at some point maybe! I don't leave until next Sunday so one more week of work.....I don't know if I will make it!

Oh yeah, I might give this foundation a try, but I have a few questions:

I have oily skin, how would this work with an oily T zone? What is the finish like on this foundation, matte, dewy, lumi...?

That's also my question, Tigriss & Virgosun!

Under the BEST of circumstances, my MU lasts 4 to 5 hrs. But I'm talking being in airconditioning and/or staying out of the sun and/or humidity 50% or lower.

Re: My Foundation Looked Perfect 12 Hours A Day in the Heat!!!

I would try L'Oreal foundations, but inspite of their efforts to expand their range of shades for women of color they still can't match me. I have better luck with color with Maybelline and although I have not tried any, Revlon may be able to match me.

I absolutely love Maybelline's Fit Me Stick. I confess to placing a little in strategic places (such as around the eyes and on any discoloration I may have) when I go to the gym, or am trying to appear as though I'm not not wearing makeup.

HA! Less than 50% humidity in the deep southeast isn't going to happen this time of year. We are already at temps that make your toes start to sweat the moment you step outside! I've been using Paula's Resist foundation but when the weather got warm, it got cakey. I went back to mineral powder only and that works well to absorb the oil. I've thought about a matte foundation, but wonder if it will do the same thing regardless of the finish. I'm heading to WM today so I'll look at the shades and see how it does. I would like more coverage than the mineral powders but with my thyroid being wonky, when I start to sweat, that is all she wrote! I go from cold to hellacious hot in a nano second.....nope not hormonal, I've been checked for that. Night flashes have plagued me since my early 20s.

Re: My Foundation Looked Perfect 12 Hours A Day in the Heat!!!

I have found NO BB or CC cream that would hold up with my oily skin...and the high humidity I live in.
