For me I thought legs would hurt the least, but they hurt the most. The face was the easiest place to use it. Arms and underarms weren't bad. It seemed like the deeper, coarser hair was the more painful.
But overall none of it was unbearable for me. I am a newbie but I like it and I will stick with it I think.
These tips were helpful to me: http://makeupandbeauty.com/how-to-use-an-epilator-experience-and-tips/

as others have mentioned! the first time is the worst. Go slowly and hold your skin taut. It works great on my peach fuzz. I only have to do it once a week, if that and I have a face full of menopausal peach fuzz.
Thank you! The hair on my legs has slowed down but now I have to worry about my face!
I KNOW! I've lost hair EVERYWHERE from head to ankles and it's as though the "hair growing directive" has been re-directed to my face. It was worse when I was using the LightStim, but it hasn't lessened much since I fell off the wagon. I'm really looking forward to trying this on my face. I think it'll be delivered tomorrow. :-)

Well I just used mine for the first time on my arms and face. It was really easy to use. I do think it will take me some time to get used to it. I didn't get to watch much of the presentations so I am hoping to find some videos online. I'm not really sure of the direction to go so I kind of tried everything. I also couldn't stand the clear cap you are supposed to use on your face. I used it on the low setting with no cap and was able to do the sides of my face and upper lip. I used the high setting on my arms and it really didn't hurt at all there. I am really happy with how soft and smooth my arms and face feel. I didn't know I had that much peach fuzz on my face.

Now that I have done my legs arms and face I am really happy with it. I never tried epilating before bc a friend said it was horrible and I now I am so glad I did.
I did some googling on how to do it and this is what the consensus was -
Shower and exfoliate the area you are going to epilate. Especially areas like your arm pits. This is supposed to help prevent ingrown hairs
Dry off and don't moisturize. Wait until your skin is completely dry.
Go against the direction of hair growth ( it says the opposite in the directions I think so I guess follow that at your own risk - I think it works better)
Move it over the skin like you are sweeping in short back and forth strokes. (so several passes small area)
After you are completely finished moisturize.
My legs were not perfectly smooth, but the basically look hairless and it lasted more than one day so I was thrilled. My forearms were completely smooth.
Hope you have good luck with it!

I got mine today too...it only took (2) days to get from PA to GA UPS ground...impressive,
although, I forgot how their $6.97 shipping charge in a smallish light weight box is a rip-off.
I've used a battery Emjoi for years, so compared to that this is like a Rolls Royce!! LOL
So much smoother & not as much pulling from the "tweezers".
I used it on my face with virtually no pain, but will wait to us in under arms & legs tomorrow when I have more time.
So far so good.![]()
