I have a Clarisonic Plus, that I bought from QVC back in Aug. 2011, I think when it was a TSV. It came with some extra brushes & came with some Bliss skincare products.
It worked fine for awhile & then, I stopped using it, but left it in the charging cradle. All 4 lights on it were lit, so I thought it was fully charged, so I went to use it & it only weakly runs when the button is pushed & won't stay running at all. I put it back in the charger for a bit, just the bottom light would flash & then, once again all 4 lights were lit like it was charged, but sadly, it was dead.
I called Clarisonic's customer service number, trying to see if maybe I could get it repaired, but since the warranty is expired, all they would give me was a 25% off email coupon if I buy another one from them.
I'm just kind of disgusted that something that costs this much as this doodad isn't repairable in some fashion & not sure if I even want another one.
In the past, I had a Sonicare toothbrush (used to be the same company) that was out of warranty & died & they sent me a new brush handle when I called them. I wasn't expecting them to send me a whole new unit or even a new handle, I just wanted to be able to get it fixed at my own expense & sadly, I guess it's just a junk throwaway at this point & that makes me angry that it's considered disposable, since the guy I talked to told me to just throw it in the trash.
Sorry for the rant, but I just needed to vent.
Edited, because it came out all run together for some reason!

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I apparently bought mine in the same TSV as you did. But luckily, mine died within the warranty period and they sent me out a new one and new brush with it and added a warranty to my new one.

I think mine died in a similar manner as yours too!

Smile, it makes everyone wonder what you're up to!

The exact same thing happened to mine. I threw it away and bought the Cliniqie sonic brush. I like it so much better than the Clarisonic. It doesn't seem as abrasive, and leaves my skin feeling really soft and clean.

The same thing happened to me but I didn't leave it in the charging cradle. I had stopped using it for a while & when I went to use it again months later, it wouldn't charge...the lights all lit but when I turned it on, it wouldn't work so I trashed it.

Ditto for me, too! Except I had 2 fail on me. I bought the Clinique back last summer and also like it much better and it is less expensive! I paid $89.

Thanks, ladies for your posts. I won't be buying another Clarasonic, even with that 25% off coupon & the fact that some of the brushes that came with it, I'd never even used. I'll check out the cheaper versions or just use a washcloth or a manual brush. This was an expensive lesson to learn.

I was just so amazed when the guy I talked to told me I should just toss it in the trash. I just hate $$ things made to be nothing more than throwaways if they fail to work properly & not built to be repairable.

Same thing happened to me and I loved mine. I called Clairisonic too and was told the same info because mine was out of warranty too. I won't buy another one because of this. Isn't it a shame that so many products are like this? You pay food money, love the product and it has a limited life....

It seems like the company must've had better customer service back when they also made the Sonicare toothbrushes. That was the reason I had bought the Clarisonic in the 1st place, because I was so impressed with the CS experience I had from Sonicare.

Oh well, live & learn........

Have you considered the Foreo Luna? I love mine. No brush heads to change.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

There's been a discussion on the Q boards where many have gotten it straight from China through dhgate.com at dirt cheap costs (yes, some are very good knock off's while some are legitimate Foreo Luna's with authenticity cards and all). Foreo has a 2 year warranty for free replacements but a 10 year guarantee and if it is after the 2 yr mark, but not 10 yrs, they will give you 50% off a new one.

Edited to add: Foreo's CS has been great towards me, very helpful. Even getting my warranty after the seller had already used the serial number for it (not able to register the same serial number twice). Couldn't be happier!
