Re: My Bamboo Green Tea experiment......

Hi! I'm new, never even knew this was here! Love it! Love Wen too & BGT as well. I started out w/ 613 for some, unknown to me, reason.... & added lots of others. Got a big question for all of you ladies....has anyone had a problem w/ 613 turning a goldish, beigey, yuk color? This is the 1st thing I ordered in Wen...a 32 0z. of 613, which I have loved. Now tho it is not white when you pump out your 4 or more pumps! It is an ugly dark ecru color & of course, now I don't think it smells as good and am assuming it is spoiled or too old. But there is more than half left in the bottle. Please let me know if this has happened to any of you girls. Thanks a bunch!!!

Re: My Bamboo Green Tea experiment......

I'm glad you are happy with the BGT results, motherinlaw. That is awesome!

I have been using BGT, 613 & TT all mixed together every day all week because I am out of everything else and I'm waiting for the spring seasonals to come (I do have 2 unopened FGP's, but I'm saving them). My hair seems to be liking the mixture a lot. My hair is very soft and silky.

I really don't have any issues with any of the CC's because they all seem to work well with my hair. I only found that 613 as a leave-in doesn't work - I think it is too heavy and leaves my hair feeling a little stiff.

I have never bought the lotion or fragrance but would if they were offered in BGT. I have used most of the BGT products except for the BGT oil. I will order this soon but really want to finish some of the seasonal oils since I have so many.

Re: My Bamboo Green Tea experiment......

Thanks to the comments on this thread I gave Wen a second try using the Bamboo Green Tea. For my first try many months ago I used the Almond Mint and my fine hair was so limp (yet I followed the video instructions precisely; rinsed for what seemed like hours so I know it wasn't faulty technique) I couldn't continue to use.

Then I read this thread and decided to try again and placed an order.

What a difference changing formulas made!! I've been using the Bamboo Green Tea for a couple of weeks and it's amazing. Now I "get it" and see what all of the positive fuss is about. My hair has never felt better and while I don't get quite the volume of my old Kerastase formula, the difference already in the health and "vitality" of my hair is worth it. I've been coating my hair with tons of pricey thick shampoo & styling products for years to increase volume. No more. And I can't wait to try the styling products in BGT. Haven't done so yet.

Thanks motherinlaw for this thread!

I love BGT but have not tried the Styling creme yet but your review has prompted me to do so soon. I love the BGT RTM and see/feel a big difference when I use it. I have tons of BGT right now and plan on using it as part or by itself for both cleanses. Thanks for your review.

Re: My Bamboo Green Tea experiment......

jenni lynd-- I've been using 613 since it's launch a few years ago. It's never been white in color, but a light beige. The only difference I've found is that the gallons I have received of 613 are of a much thinner consistency than the 16 & 32 oz bottles ( which are really thick).

I would call CS and see about getting a replacement if you think you have gotten a bad batch.

You are very welcome! Another thing I have tried recently is to spray a light dusting of the bamboo green tea treatment mist onto my hair before I blow dry....gives my long, fine hair just a touch more moisture without weighing it down. So far so good! Smiley Happy
