I have a very tight budget, try not to waste anything, and like to find alternate uses for the basics.

For example, I fill my liquid hand soap dispensers (kitchen & bathroom) with moisturizing body wash or shampoo.  It's especially cost-effective if you buy the largest size bottle.

Right now I'm using 'Suave Cocoa Butter and Shea' body wash.

It's great for my extra-dry skin and the scent isn't too strong or cocoa-buttery.

How 'bout you?

Yes ... I always cut the plastic containers .. when they

get to the bottom and won't squeeze out as well ..

there is at least 2 weeks woth of product left ....

Admit to doing all of the above. 

I also buy the big bottles of Suave shampoo and squirt it into pretty little bottles in the bathroom. 

Suave gets used for a lot of things beyond shampooing hair.

A hint I have heard but have not yet tried: spray leave-in hair conditioner on faux fur coats, fluffing it into the fur in order to restore the appearance of the fur. 

Have a Dennis Basso coat that's looking mangy that I plan to try that on soon.

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head.  I just try not to waste or buy too much of anything and end up sitting around forever.  

I have changed the way I shop the most.

Or perhaps bar soap would be an alternative?  I like bars for my sinks and they are not pricey.

I have liquid hand soap dispensers in all bathrooms and was buying the large refill.containers of Softsoap Milk & Honey.

They changed the scent but kept the same name, found Walmart Equate brand had the same scent as original.

Now saving even more money with Walmart generic and I like the product better.

I needed to use up some liquid face wash so I used it as a cleanser on my hands.

I bought some total body deo spray and I didn't care for it so now it gets used as a room fragrance in the bathroom for after someone goes #2.
