@PatriciaGMust be a Flanker of the original Joy. EnJOY!

@Kabella, no, it's a totally separate fragrance by a different brand (Dior); the older Joy was from Jean Patou.

10 years ago I wore Coco Mademoiselle every day.  Loved it.  I still have that bottle but it smells too strong on me now.   Should toss it.

   Same thing happened....wore Coco Mademoiselle from the beginning.

Then few years ago couldn't handle the scent. Like you, stopped wearing.

Re: Most complimented Fragrances?

There is a dupe of AG at Walmart that smells pretty similar.  It is a body spray that is under $6.

The only fragrance that I have ever been stopped and asked about is from Perlier.  It was a vanilla lemon spray from many years ago.  I was in an elevator with a well dressed gentleman.  He got off of the elevator then immediately turned around and said something like please don't think I'm strange, but you smell so good.  What are you wearing?

@Sweet_SerenityIf the juice of the perfume was originally clear & it turns a deeper color than yes most of them have a more strong alcohol scent. Not all tho, some are fine as they age but not many. I mean't to reply to @Ricki Lynn.

Re: Most complimented Fragrances?

I stopped by a yard sale a while back and scored some vintage (unopened!!!!) bottles of "White Shoulders". They must be 30+ years old but perfect condition...still in original sealed boxes. Well I started wearing this and wow had lots of ?s about it (what are you wearing...so nice!) Think I'll wear it more often. The older formulas are SO much better than the modern versions! Ingredients are everything.

@Junker2327  The Coco Mademosiele is a lovely fragrance.  Years ago, I wore the Coco Chanel.   I need to take a look at Chanel fragrances again.  Over 15 years ago, I work part time in fragrance at Marshall Fields.  Believe it or not, I hated fragrance once I started working.  Too many different scents.  It was gross.  lol

@Katcat1@Junker2327

Mademoiselle is what I wear when I wear cologne, but that is rare.  I wore #5 for years.  Then alternated between Shalimar and #5 for many years.  Now I am finding my body and #5 are not friends and Shalimar gives me hives.  How we change as we age!  Now I am infrequently wearing Mademoiselle.

Re: Most complimented Fragrances?

@silkykI Agree. I was lucky to see a fragrance that I wore years ago that is discontinued at Ross for 11.00! for a 1oz. spray bottle of "Lolita Lempica" EDP.. The bottle is an enchanting light purple apple shape with gold leaves. They do sell it online for 45.00. I also have some Niche Fragrances that are wonderful. My Favorite is Verjoff's Casamorati"s Lira.
