just wondering what you all think is the best moisturier for aging skin???

I'm over 70 yrs and have been using Cetaphil Moisturizer for many years. I originally read consumer's reviews and they listed this brand at the top. Costco carries it - on-line - it's a 2 pack with a 4 oz. bonus for $18.99. Bargain!!!!

@kivah Cetaphil is frequently recommended by Derms. I don't use it because I look for cruelty free products.

@Bettyanne You may want to consider an oil at bedtime. You place a drop in your hands and rub together and pat on your face. Marula oil (I like because it absorbs quickly) or Argan oil. During the day, I love Aveda Botanical Kinetics facial lotion. You get 5 oz. for $35 = $7 an ounce and you can get regular or for sensitive skin (I use during the day). When you think you spend $20 for 1 oz. of drugstore brands, the Aveda is a great deal. I love how my skin feels. The oil really balances my skin to be normal. I am 68. Good luck. ![]()

I am 84, I use argon oil in the morning, it readily soaks into my skin, and my skin is soft all day and into the morning., I don't use makeup as I don't work outside the home,but I swear by this.Also, I buy it at Amazon, cheaper. After you use it on your face, dry your hands off in your hair, it's excellent for your hair too.

It's great to get ideas of what works for other people, but nothing works for everyone, so you will have to try the things that you think sound best to you.
Cetaphil is always recommended, but it breatks me out.
Argan oil (Which I use it to break down my makeup before I cleanse my skin. I get Shea Moisture brand-some brands of argan oil, also, break me ouit!) does not moisturize my skin, but if my skin is irritated I find it very soothing.
My skin is combo & easily dehydrated, but so many things break me out that I am having a hard time.
JM Argon Milk gives me light moisture & I do like it, but sometimes I need more moisture.
I am trying out Clarins Multi Active Night Cream. I like the way it feels & smells & it is moisturizing but I think I am getting breakouts from using it. :{

Consider using a routine of a cleanser, exfoliater, serum then moisturizer.
I know it sounds like a lot but you for sure need to start with an exfoliater before moisturizing.
It doesn't have to be anything expensive, most products I mention usually come in containers that last for months. You might be able to find a "try me" pack or a travel pack to start.
I use Clinique products

@Bettyanne. If your skin is dry, look for an extra hydrating cream...oil free or water based for normal to oily skin. Add a Vit. C serum in the morning to brighten complexion and spf to protect your skin along w/ Retin A at night. That’s the recommendations you’d get from a dermatologist. ****Beware false promises of firming and lifting creams.
