Don't know (can't know) if that's accurate or not (your assumption about the "vast majority" of QVC customers), but I do know that I made a number of first-time purchase decisions for several Perricone products based on posts here on this thread.
If those posts had been deleted by the moderators, I probably wouldn't be using at least three, maybe four of the Perricone products I now consider part of my ongoing regimen and that I purchase on a regular basis.
As I've said before, I consider this thread a great library of information about the Perricone brand -- and when it's categorically chopped by the Moderators in an aggressive manner (more aggressive than for other brands) it begs the question: WHY?
I don't know if my assumption is 100% accurate either. It is, however, based on the idea than QVC has at least hundreds of thousands of customers, probably thousands or tens of thousands of Perricone customers, and these forums seldom average more than around 130 - 150 people posting at any one time. That translates to a very small number of customers overall interested and/or posting on the forums.

I value the opinions of the poster's here, and to not have the history of the Perricone discussions is frustrating. I have found reviews (along with sales and free shipping) elsewhere, but nothing like some of the discussions that happen here. It's an expensive line, and I can't be the only one who will do more research before trying this vs. a Philisophy product. I also know how to sift through 'haters' to get real info, good and bad, vs people just criticizing to criticize. So with another Perricone TSV coming up, it would be nice if ALL of the discussions were available again. I'm sure I'm not the only person who reads these forums before buying.Originally, I thought the idea of separate boards for separate vendors was a good one. That way those of us who use or are interested in a product line are able to communicate with like-minded people. Sadly, that was never the case. The "haters" feel it necessary to add their negativity in the manufacturer-specific forums as well.
The way QVC handles the Perricone forum has seemed different when compared to others for some time. People who may have had their curiosity piqued by a recent presentation may come here looking for discussion about the product and find nothing.
QVC, I know you're in business and want to make money. A lack of activity (or at least a perceived lack of activity) in the Perricone forum may be interpreted as a lack of interest in the Perricone line by your customer base, resulting in lost sales.
It may lead potential customers to look for information about Perricone products elsewhere, allowing them to discover such things as discounts and free shipping.
Really poor business judgment on your part, QVC. But thanks for allowing us to share, if only for a brief moment in time.

What is far more important to note is the number of viewers who are reading these threads, not actual posters. There are in excess of 2000 on a few and many others with 300 to 500 views. These are very likely potential customers trying to learn more about Perricone's skincare in general as well as specific products to help them decide whether to invest or not.
The less that can be learned and read about here regarding Perricone products, the less that potential buyers have access to for real genuine information. While I like Dana, she is not exactly a font of knowledge for any of Perricone's skincare and having more information available here can only help that situation.
It really makes one question what are QVC's motives? Are they that ill-informed that they truly think removing threads here is somehow going to benefit sales? Sometimes, one can only shake their head in pure disbelief

Wackers I couldn't have said it better. I am one who rarely posts but do read what others are saying often. Its good to see what others are saying about a product before buying it. I also agree with everyone else's frustration about the older posts being deleted. Why only on the Perricone thread. If you go to the Beauty Banter you can go back years!Moderators
PLEASE do not delete the older threads.

deleting all of the threads in this forum that contain replies prior to 4-21-14????
Do you follow the same procedure in all of the other forums here in the Q Community?
Please come out of the shadows and explain WHY you choose to moderate the Perricone MD forum in a different manner than other forums, thank you.
ETA: I just checked the Beauty's Best Gifts forum and it has posts dating back to 10/22/2011 at 10:17 PM, yet this forum has a total of 8 threads (including this one) available to members.
Hi Lyn in Mi,
Thanks for posting your concern about the Perricone forum not listing older forum discussions. I believe the issue you reported has has now been resolved.
Have a great rest of your weekend!
