This is the 2nd or 3rd palette I've seen that has been chopped and re-introduced.  I bought a Pat McGrath 6 pan that was sectioned from one of her larger $120 palettes for $29.  Perhaps makeup items aren't moving too good right now so they're making items more affordable.  You can also buy a mini Makeup Forever foundation for $22 vs $43

@monicakm   That's a great observation.  I think many women (myself included) can be intimidated by 12-16 shades of shadow. I do hate spending a large sum of money and only hitting pan on several shades that I use often and leaving many barely touched.
