Mineral Sunscreen For The Body

Looking for recommendations for a mineral sunscreen (no chemical sunscreen) for the body that is water resistant, does not leave a white cast, and does not feel heavy and sticky.

Thanks!

I love MDSolarSciences products, and I use their lotion on my body. It's expensive, but lasts while I'm outside. I'm also a huge fan of Elta MD.

Thank you for the response Happy Elizabeth! I'm surprised at the lack of responses. I guess most people prefer chemical sunscreens.

Re: Mineral Sunscreen For The Body

I stocked up on Bare Minerals physical sunscreen before it was discontinued. It's a powder and it is SPF 30, so it does the job and doesn't irritate my skin. I use it liberally in summer or whenever I know I'll be in the sun at all because I burn in the shade in just minutes.

alba Botanica - great product. Sold at iherb.com. Spend $20 or more & receive free shipping. I was completely satisfied with alba's sunscreen that I used last summer. They also offer facial sunscreen too & reasonable prices. No white film.

Re: Mineral Sunscreen For The Body

I've been checking out EWG's website for sunscreens. For those interested in non-toxic products you may want to check it out. I've tried several of the mineral sunscreens that they recommend, unfortunately they feel heavy and leave a white cast. Not a good look on the beach. When the wind picks up, and the sand sticks, I tend to look like a sugar cookie strolling the beach.

Too bad Josie Maran doesn't make a water resistant sunscreen for the body.
