Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

I've used bareMinerals since I first saw Leslie presenting it on QVC, maybe 30 years now? My skin was oily on the surface but dry underneath caused by the hormone replacement therapy I'd been using. Liquid foundations just slid off my skin and added oil. I've not found anything I liked more, with the exception of IT Cosmetics perfecting powder a while back. Use of that, however, caused bad milia, even though I can't find a reason it did, so I can't use it even if it was offered now. I don't think bM clogs my pores, I buff, buff, buff, and like the look on my old (mid-70s) skin.

Re: Mineral Powder Foundations

I have/had so many powder foundations and have tossed out a few lately--just too yellow on me and supposedly, it was my shade and color---no they weren't. I actually use BE bisque for a foundation---the orignal shade works very well for me but have a couple that are a bit darker and I do mix the darker shades and the original together too.

@AngelPuppy1 Happy to help. There's 3 mineral powder choices: sheer coverage, med to full coverage & full coverage matte..all have color charts with pictures -descriptions, the med to full has the most color choices,  samples are $1.50, I ordered 3 samples to find my match. I use the full matte, my cheek redness is covered after applying  with my IT Cosmetics flat head brush. The full matte is the only product I've used but there's lots of choices & kits available, with an ingredients list which is a must for me. There's a free offer available for first time customers...if you try SMMC hope you like it.

Thank you!  I have looked on their website and the choices and colors seem kind of overwhelming!  I guess starting with samples would be a good way to start.
