Membership when purchasing through QVC?

One of my main reasons for not trying this product is because I hate the auto shipment - primarily because when you call to cancel they give you such a hard time. I also read that they'll charge a 'membership fee' for canceling. If I order through QVC (or Amazon) will I automatically be entered into their 'auto shipment'?
