I also wanted to add that for a millisecond, I actually thought that was Joan. Maybe she's having this work done because she does look rather "salty" for her age, which is 48? After all, look at her role model. I liked Joan and I'm sure she was a great mother & grandmother but you do become your mother as you get older in many ways. My mom is my hero forever...I've got so much to live up to in that department but I'm trying my best.

Does anyone remember when Melissa came to QVC and sold her line of sterling silver jewelry? The designs were really nice and very innovative. I was really hoping that the line would catch on but it was only on for a short time.
Melissa looked so pretty back then and very natural. When she was engaged to be married Joan had a "shower" on QVC for her. It was really nice and Melissa was radiant. Those were the really fun times at QVC.... now I rarely find anything as enjoyable to watch.

@hopi wrote:Joan was always there for Melissa and more. Melissa is probably feeling really lost. Gone is the woman who had unconditional love for her and gave her livelyhood, money and put the world on notice how important this person was to her.
She gave her a career, also. Took her in hand and brought her along.

Melissa & a QVC fashion vendor have a mini commercial on QVC. I think the commercial is about cancer awarness.
Melissa is unrecognizable in the commercial. I recognized her by her voice.

Oh my, I don't watch FP, but she is almost unrecognizable.

@Mz iMac Is the link I've posted below the same commercial / PSA you saw? The PSA in the link below is for the upcoming Super Saturday LIVE, and features Melissa with Brad Goreski. If so, I actually think Melissa looks better in the video than in the pic posted above. In the video I don't think she looks bad, but she does appear to have had some "work." I would think the video was fairly recent, so I'm wondering if her "work" could look more extreme in the above pic, due to heavier makeup for being on TV / Fashion Police ? I don't know -- just wondering.
(Edit - June 11 is the date for the Los Angeles Super Saturday LIVE, and July 30 is the date for New York)

Yes that is the commercial that has been heavely rotating for days now on QVC.
Thanks for linking it because I have been searching for the video all afternoon to post a link. Vimeo was the only place I didn't go to. Good find!

Melissa never impressed me much. I never thought she was very talented. Certainly not like Joan was. I always felt she would never have reached the level she has if her name was Melissa Smith. Actually wouldn't her legal name have been Meliisa Rosenberg. Her deceased father was Edgar Rosenberg and he was married to Joan. Guess the name Rosenberg wasn't getting her foot in the door like the Rivers name did.
