I have tried many mascaras and can't find one that doesn't flake. Any suggestions? Also I understand that some eye creams cause it to flake. Can you explain this please? Thank you for your help.

Re: Mascara that doesn't flake

I have teary allergy eyes and have trouble with a lot of mascara. I've had good luck with the tube mascaras. They last all day, don't run, smudge, or flake and remove easily with water. Don be alarmed when you remove it - the tubes come off and it might seem like your eyelashes are coming off. They're not, it's just the tubes. L'Oréal double extend is my drugstore choice, trish mcevoy is my high end choice. I used to find a boots tube mascara at target (in a gold tube) but my target does not seem to have much boots anymore.

@Thundar,    I recently was using Origins and I also have Estee Lauder, Clinique,  Fiona Stiles and Maybelline Lash Discovery and none of them flake.  I have not use a mascara that flakes since I was a teenager.  What were you using?  Cat Happy

@Fluke67 in 100% agreement with you on Trish McEvoy. I now have dry eye syndrome... seems it's always something and default to hers as a gentle good mascara, my sister as well and others agree..great because it's a tubing kind of mascara and the volume named mascara in her line I feel is best.

Love this mascara and HSn has great deals/sales and I stock up. Wish QVC did these incentives.

Use my other good mascaras too at times, but they irritate after like 3 hours :/ yet enjoy them on for a short while only.

Re: Mascara that doesn't flake

I don't have a flaking issue but I look in the mirror and there is black under my eyes.  I dont wear a day eye creme and don't wear lower lash mascara or liner.  I figure it has to be the mascara so I bought waterproof.

Sometimes it's not the mascara but whether you have oily or dry skin, or what moisturizers you wear around your eyes.  That said, I don't have any flaking problems with L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes in the gold tube.  But everyone's experiences are  different.
