I have LOVED Tarte (purple tube) mascar, tried other over the years, go right back to this, I have used for at least 8+ years and it is my hands down holy grail.

BUT, each new shipment the formula is bad, its clumping, I am ending up with raccoon eyes, they did something and I do NOT like it.

So, I need help, maybe if you loved Tarte and found something similar? I need both volume and length, Tarte did this    I am so sad but I do need to find a replacement.

@SandGirl, mascara is a problem product for me.  I am constantly trying new but nothing yet has wowed me.

I tried the Tarte product at the end of last year.  I found it dried and it ended up flaking on my face.  I thought maybe I got an old tube but maybe not.  I have tried IT's mascaras and didn't care for them and Benefit's They're Real was okay but terribly hard to remove.

My other issue is I am a purist about the brush.  I like the old fashioned, if you will, brushes.  I don't like the tiny plastic bristles that so many mascaras are using now.  

I'm also not a fan of spending gobs of money on mascara because there are so many drugstore brands.  My next shot is going to be Covergirl Exhibitionist.

I swear by Bobbi Brown mascara. My favorites are "Extreme Party" and "Smokey Eye". Both of these give you volume and length as well as curl. The last all day and night. I have no flaking or running. Hope it works for you as well.

Mascara is one of those items where it will work for some and be hated by others!  LOL

I have to try 10 before I find 2 that work!

I always have a variety of mascaras going at one time.  Each day my lashes seems to need a different brand/brush/formula.

I will say, I have been using Tarte Maneater since it debuted on Q and still do.  I was on AD for 2 tubes but that is over.  Ulta carries it...

I was a die-hard Tarte mascara user and had the same experience as you! Dry, clumpy, not looking good on. I switched to IT Superhero mascara and I'm really impressed! Makes my lashes look really long, it's not drying or clumpy, and also makes my lashes look fuller.

I too loved the old Tarte mascara and the change in formation was terrible!

I've since switched to IT Superhero.  I've been on autodelivery for 3 years now.  No smudging/flaking.  It curls and keeps my bone straight lashes up all day.  I've been able to ditch the curler which is better for my lashes and a time-saver in my morning routine!

@MandyG06 @mommaslp   Each time I am at Ulta I am tempted to try this one but still using up my last Tarte, just sad I have to go through the frustration of trying a new one, I will pick one up and see how it goes, THANK YOU

I HATE formula changes, because most of the time, it's NOT for the better. I noticed the change in Tarte's mascara quite a while ago.  The same thing happened to me with Mally's mascara in the white tube.  It was FABULOUS years ago, and then horrible.  Tova had the BEST MASCARA of all time when she first introduced her line,  MANY YEARS AGO.  When she re-introduced it a couple of years ago,  it was nothing like the original and back it went. 

I'm always on the hunt for a great mascara.  I will not use the kind that coats your lashes with little tubes, becuase when you remove,  the tubes and your lashes come off!   I also use a different mascara on my top lashes than on my bottom. I use Perricone mascara on the bottom because there are no racoon eyes when I do, and it allows me to use anything I want on top.

@nyc1  I used the Mally in the White tube as well!! It was the BEST, then they changed it and I went to Tarte...  Now they changed that.

I use two mascaras as well.  It tighline waterproof on my lower lashes then (for now) Tarte on my top, I do 3 layers and let each layer dry before applying another.

I just hate searching for one I like plus it gets expensive!
