Martha Stewart's New Skin Care Line

She was on Jenna & Friends this morning and said the official launch was tonight.  So, I'm curious, a year or so ago when people were suggesting she had gotten cosmetic surgery, she claimed it was all due to good skin care by Mario Badescu.  I wonder if he feels like she threw him under the bus.  The line was developed by some dermatologist that she collaborated with.  I can't imagine she has enough skincare knowledge to actually develop a skin care line.  Maybe she gave him input as to how it felt on her skin or  how it absorbed.  She didn't say anything about ingredients, just said she called it aging gracefully vs anti-aging.

Never have been a fan of Martha so won't be trying her skin care line.  Agree with you that I can't imagine she has much skin care knowledge - like a Derm - so maybe what she did was give her input on ease of use, how it felt, if she saw any changes, etc.

I know posters will disagree but if vendors have had obvious work done on their faces, e.g., Martha, Dr. Denese, Dimitri(!!!!)  I take whatever they're selling with a large grain of salt.

@kaydee50

I agree! I just said the same thing on another thread.

Not to mention, we have all seen close ups of the wrinkled eye area of some hosts,who get to try everything, and can certainly afford the expensive lines. So how well does what QVC sells for wrinkles really work?

@Icegoddess   She does seem to dip her toe into everything from fashion lines to skincare to decor and even sketchers slip on sneakers. I don't think she needs the money, but maybe just the attention is a high.

I've seen candid photos of Martha unlike the filter ones used in Sports illustrated and

filters used in her commercials and her product photos. May have had a little this, little that but no face lift. She looks every bit her age. Won't be watching. But the reverse aging myth continues and women want to believe a topical will reverse aging. It won't.

It seems the trend for celebrities to collaborate with their derm or plastic surgeon when launching skin care.  I know Victoria Beckham names the doc that works with her on her skincare line.  I think that's a good idea.

I was thinking the same thing.  She's starting to look like a  "jack of all trades; master of none".  I think if I were her, I'd start to sit back and enjoy whatever time I have left.

Re: Martha Stewart's New Skin Care Line

I don't know for sure if Martha or anyone else has had fillers, threading, mini lifts, various facial areas botoxed, etc., but when faces are plump as someone 50 years younger than them, and cheeks starting under the lower eyelid, eyebrows almost to the hairline, lips so pouty they can barely speak, IMO it's more than skincare.

 I'm not saying everyone who has had whatever work done has these things; I have friends who've had these things and look lovely, they don't want to look 20, just better at 60, 70, and beyond. I'm considering something, nothing drastic, but may not be a good candidate with my Autoimmune system.

There's no amount of topical Hyaluronic acid nor Collagen l-V, or peptides, various other fiber builders, etc,  to achieve those looks w/o some form of needle used.

 I'm not knocking it, seriously.

I may want to try something besides the ten million things I have on my counter.

 I've certainly spent the equivalent for a face, breast, and bottom lift by now, oh, and add a tummy tuck to that....
