Did anyone else think this was less than spectacular??  The foundation (medium) was very dark and made me look muddy.  When you ran the brush over it, it became loose powder & flew all over the place.  My brush, which I would have liked, was lopsided.  The lip gloss was awful (IMHO).  The mascara was OK, but not as good as the Cover Girl I usually buy.  The shadows were OK -- but I don't need another highlighter. Sent it back.  This is the first (and last) time I try Mally.  Laura Geller is my go-to.  Wht did y'all think??

I've been a Mally fan for years, mostly her foundations, eye liners, and eye shadow sticks.  After this last time, and with the new company takeover of her business, I am probably done with it.  In her shows she always refers to all her products as "bullet proof"........"not coming off until you take it off," etc.  I noticed she wasn't saying that anymore.  Well I still have some old shadow sticks, and I thought these new ones seemed very different, so I looked at both of them more closely.  The old ones say "made in Italy," and the new ones say "made in China."  That's probably "it" for me, unfortunately.  Cat Sad

Agreed!! I was shocked at the difference in quality and the foundation was the biggest disappointment for me. It was very thin in the amount in the compact and it had a texture of talc or just dirty dust. I loved my Mally products and I'm very pro-women, meaning I'll support any woman with good products any-day of the week at the Q but this was a really sub-par TSV. I was really upset with the whole package and the quality of the rest of the products was not to Mally's former glory. Whatever was the issue of why she sold the company, not sure if it was bankruptcy or whatever happened, it is not the same Mally that used to be sold on the Q and that's an awful shame!! Also, I'm so sick of any products being made in China, no offensive, but please make products in the USA and I'll pay the extra hands down!! At least I'll know what ingredients I'm putting on my face for sure and know it's NOT tested on animals!!  Woman Sad

Where do I start?

I've been with Mally since the beginning of my "QVC days," around 2005 or so. I was hooked from the start, and I have a lot of her products. I always look forward to her TSV's.

I should have known this time. Even DD, who watched one of the shows with me, said Mally didn't seem quite like her usual bubbly self a lot of the time. And DD noticed she didn't use the words "bulletproof" and "tattoo in a stick." (She may have but we didn't hear them.)

So at the last minute I caved and ordered the TSV, mostly because I was intrigued by the foundation.

I wore it today. Here are my impressions: I like the foundation. I got the Light, and the color is right, and my skin feels good. It gives me a medium coverage, although if I wanted a lighter coverage or heavier I could do that too. The shadow sticks are but a "shadow" of her previous ones. They do stay on, and I like the two colors, but they are not nearly as pigmented as the former ones. The mascara was a disappointment. Her regular previous one was my HG. The lip color was OK, but again, nothing like the High Shines I still wear all of the time.

So - it's OK. Is it worth keeping for the foundation? IDK. The only other time I've sent makeup back is when I received the wrong shade. I don't like to do it.

I've said this before, but I still think Mally doesn't have a lot of say in the production of her products any longer. The new company, Beauty Visions, is concerned about quantity and profit. She is mainly just the spokesperson. I may be way off base, but from what I've read and heard, that's what I believe.

Marta Palladino was hired to be the product development director for Mally Beauty. She comes from Victoria's Secret beauty, with over 10 years of experience. She is responsible for increasing sales, building brand loyalty, and acquiring new consumers for Mally Beauty.

I think Beauty Visions is a foreign company that dabbles in many different consumer areas.

I think Mally's great, and I wish her well. I'm sure it hurt her to have to sell because of bankruptcy. We will still see her here and all over TV as one of the best makeup artists out there. Even though the products are no longer hers only, she can still show us the best way to wear them!

It sounds to me that Mally is fulfilling contract obligations and this TSV was one of those obligations.

Sorry to read about all these sad stories.

Yes, it is a known fact that it was because of bankruptcy. There have been many articles posted stating this.

Also, products made in China are not necessarily animal tested- it is only those products sold TO China that are required by the Chinese govrnment to be animal tested (there is now other ways to prove safety without testing on animals that the Chinese government will accept but most companies don't go that route because it is cheaper to test on animals, sadly). So Mally's products are still not tested on animals at this point, even though many things are now made in China.

But I agree with you, I will glady pay more for products made in the USA but that is because I want to support our own workers and not necessarily because I distrust other countries' quality or safety measures in the manufacturing of products.

I just received my order today, and was looking forward to trying it out...and yes I was very disappointed.  I ordered the medium, and while the shade was fine I did not find anything "creamy" about it (as advertised)...just another dry powder foundation.  I thought the shadow were nothing special, and the lipgloss extremely sticky.  The mascara was nice, but not enough to keep the kit, so back it goes.

I must admit that this just another Mally purchase that I have been disappointed in lately, and will think twice...no maybe three times before ordering again.

Just an addendum to my previous post.  Yes, the shadows are very different and now are made in China (formerly Italy).  Just this morning I took a close look at the set of 5 colored eye liners I also ordered that day (and just received), and they are made in Germany.  That's good news to me, as Germany does make good liners.  I tried them out this morning, and they do go on smoothly with good color saturation, and they seem to stay put like before, so at least those are still good IMO.

@HappyDaze - You are so right! Today is the 2nd day wearing the TSV and so far I feel just the same. I would keep it for the foundation only (which BTW says "Made in America" on the compact). Still thinking.

I'm trying to explore other smaller companies. I got the Eve Pearl TSV and I like it and everything in it. I still like LG and IT too. Laura has a TSV coming up. It looks like it will be easy for me to pass on this - I have PLENTY B&B's! Smiley LOL
