I do exfoliate and do use a moisturizer prior to primer. I am not sure if it's the primer or the bb cream and/or the tinted serum causing my issues. All I can say is the products I have are not working well together on my face.

I look better with just moisturizer and primer alone. As soon as I put on the tinted serum I look worse. Color is a good match. I've tried various application methods, from brushes, sponges, fingers. 

For now, sticking with bb cream vs tinted serum. I will revisit in spring when weather changes. Color on cheeks and lips give me some color and make me feel like I look good.

I love complimenting people too.  DH is very much a compliment-giver.  So much so that it sometimes feels disingenuous but he promises it's not.

my hg product is IT cosmetics Bye Bye Dark Spots serum concealer. I bought the duo months ago. Still using the first tube as it is so concentrated and requires very little to do the job. 
Second runner up is Doll 10 mascara

If you think it might work for you...Benefit makes a tinted primer.  I sometimes just put that on.  It comes in two formulas.  I use the hydrating one.

Thank you for your suggestions. I might try the moisturizing primer. I do feel a bit dry the past couple of weeks...not sure if it's weather or the Retinaldehyde I have been using. I am not peeling and I don't feel tight. Shrug. Maybe it's just being 66? Lol.

My makeup Saturday: after toner and moisturizer: Elf liquid poreless primer; Sephora matte perfection tint; Tarte Park Princess bronzer; Iconic London glow, prep, setting spray. 

Nars undereye concealer; Elf magnetic pull shadow stick, combined with rose color from Elf matte jewel palette. 

Mario Badescu lip balm combined with Nomad cosmetics lip gloss in light pink.

@Midmod   Wonderful when you have a good makeup day!!! Even sat. I put on a 5 min. face. I don't try to cover all flaws/spots and foundation is always a NO, so a lightweight tinted moisturizer or a tinted spf is my "go to"...brows, cream blush and a lip tint and I'm all set.

I used to leave all make off, just skincare, unless going out, but then something would come up where i needed to be out and I got lazy to the "face" and stayed home waiting until another day to mail pkgs., pick up something at grocery. Doing a quick makeup is much better.

@San Antonio Gal   I curl my lashes, but no mascara....My glasses are a bit tinted, so as long they're curled, they do give my eyes a lifted look...also blessed with darker lashes which helps. if an extra minute, I'll use one coat of BB Smokey Eye mascara which is very natural looking.
