How do you wash yours, or do you just buy new ones?

In between true washes, I'll use a quick dry brush cleaner. Spray it on and rub the brush on a paper towel or old washcloth.
For a true wash, I'll use Dawn dish detergent because it will cut through everything. Rinse well but don't ever let the brushes lay in water to soak. That will loosen the glue that holds them together. Hang to dry or lay them on the edge of the tub with the bristles exposed all around for air to circulate. @SilleeMee shared a good trick on wrapping ponytail holders around the shower rod and sticking the brush handles through the loops.

I wash them...maybe every few months. (probably should do them at least once a month, but it just never happens! That said, I don't use a lot of heavy makeup, no liquid foundation etc with brushes, so only a few get used anyway.)
I used to have a Bare Minerals brush cleansing solution. I think that is a waste of money...it was likely just a soap solution, basic soap works fine. The pump on that product stopped working I used to have to pour it out to finish it up.
I now always just use a gentle bar of soap. I swish the brush on it and rinse and everything comes out. Then just lay them on a paper towel to dry. They all come out like new.

I wash my brushes and over the years have used many different products to wash them. I mix the solution in a bowl with warm water. Holding the brushes away from the edges, I swish them in the water until they have released the buildup. I then empty the bowl, rinse it, and fill with water to rinse any left over cleaning solution. This step may need to be repeated. I do not hold them under running water.
After cleaning, I place the brushes on a towel to air dry turning them over to allow the other side to air dry as well. I have used everything from shampoo, to Woolite, to brush cleaner, to Dawn for my cleaning solution. My brushes were an investment, but they have lasted for years.

@qualitygal I quickly "wash" my brushes each time I use them (especially brushes used for cream products) w/ a spray cleaner. The one I have now is a drugstore brand.
I do a thorough wash on Sundays with baby shampoo.
If you care for brushes, they last a very long time. I have some Bobbi Brown brushes gifted and purchased 25-30 years ago. The same with Trish McEvoy ones, MAC and others. I do tend to purchase "good" brushes and IMO I think they last longer.

This is how I dry my brushes on a towel rod or you can use a clothes hanger also. Can use hair ties or rubbers bands.

Morning like @Shanus I use Dawn liquid to clean my brushes . I have oily acne prone skin so I wash my brushes every 10 days or so . Last year I purchased the ELF brush cleansing bar . It was $4 , I needed it to make free shipping . It is really nice too .

@qualitygal You do need to wash your brushes, but you have to be gentle with the bristles.
I use a lot of cream/stick eyeshadows so I wash them after each use. Just a drip of hand soap & gently wash & rinse the brush. Then I lay them on a washcloth on the window sill to dry.
My eyeliner brush, I may need to add a drop of makeup remover to get the eyeliner out of the brush. I use Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks for eyeliner & that color is harder to get out of the brush.
If I use a brush for concealer or liquid foundation I wash them every use, too.
If I need to change & use the same brush for a cream blush after a liquid foundation, I put a bit of Mac Brush Cleaner on a clean washcloth & gently wipe the brush clean of surface product & then switch.
Powder brushes I wash every week.
I do like the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser. It cleans the brushes/sponges well & rinses out easily.
