Re: Makeup brush & sponge cleaner

Thanks for your review - glad that works for you. I always think if a cleanser gets makeup off my face, it will remove makeup from my foundation brush. I use my foaming face cleansers to clean my brushes. Just put a dollop of cleanser in the cup of my hand and swish the brush in it. Use the "washboard" of my four closed fingers to scrub the brush if needed. BTW, I wash my brushes every time I use them. It's more sanitary and they're more easy to clean.

I use the beauty sponge cleaner brand for my brushes---works really well--cleans and the rinses off clearly without alot of hassel----need to do a spring clean on my brushes now.

I must really be out of the loop.  I wash my brushes in Dawn Dish Soap.  One brush, my favorite, I have had it for years and no problems.

Re: Makeup brush & sponge cleaner

I use the ELF Makeup brush and sponge cleaning Glove.  You should use a cleaning agent with the glove (my preferred is shampoo). Every bit of any kind of makeup comes right off without much effort.  I have been using it for a couple of years now. This glove makes cleaning so easy that I see no reason to not clean the tools after each use.  It's $10, but of course, being ELF, that means you can find it on sale somewhere.  If I recall correctly, I bought mine at Ulta.

Cleaning pads like these are available at Target and WM but  this is the one I bought from Sigma a year or so ago.  I use baby shampoo for the soap.  The various size nubs and patterns are for different brushes.

Morning !

The ELF solid cleanser is great ! I made an ELF purchase a few weeks ago . I was short $3 for free shipping . I decided to add the Cleanser to my order. It is regularly $ 5 but is currently for a limited time on sale for  $4 . Like others I used Dawn, liquid soap or shampoo for years . This little bar is a awesome find and gets the job done !

Re: Makeup brush & sponge cleaner

My brushes clean great.  No problem with them but I have trouble getting the sponges cleaned.  I have tried a few products; even did the microwave method, but I'm thinking they just don't have a long life span.  Anyone find they replace their sponges frequently?
