I have never used a setting spray before but I want to try one. I have looked at high end sprays and drugstore sprays, and am looking for recommendations for someone with extremely oily skin. Is it worth it to buy the more expensive ones or are the drugstore products just as good?

Skindinavia makes one for oily skin that’s very good. I also put a small amount of Mehron🍳 TouchUp gel (under $10.) on my nose area after skincare. 💖

For drugstore I like Wet n Wild Photo Finish Spray and there are a few different formulas,

For high end it's UD original All-Nighter. They have a few different formulas as well. I recently tried Charlotte Tilbury but couldn't deal with the smell of it.

I was never one to use a setting spray.  In reality, these days I really don't need my makeup to last/look good for hours.  It also seemed counterintuitive to me to get your makeup just so and then to spray a liquid on it to set it.  Wouldn't you get water spots on your face?  However, I did finally buy and use a  NYX Dewy setting spray.

Then, one day I walked into Ulta and ther was a display of ELF Power Grip setting sprays.  It claimed that the spray was micronized or something to that effect, so I decided to try it since I had that aversion to spraying liquid on my perfect makeup.  Well, they were right.  The spray is so fine that you can barely feel it.  I've been happy with it.  I couldn't say about oily skin.  I didn't even know they made setting sprays for specific skin types.

@Jordan2  - I don't have oily skin but some of the YT influencers I watch do and they like either Charlotte Tilbury or Onesize or Urban Decay All Nighter.

The only place I do get oily is my nose and I use the Charlotte Tilbury all over and it seems to work very well.  As to smell, I can't comment on that because I have no sense of smell so don't know if it has a fragrance or not.

Used to use Milani Original Setting Spray but think the Charlottte Tilbury works better for me.  Next will try the new ELF Power Grip spray as i hear that is a good one.

I've used 3.  Did not like the Wet n Wild from the ds.  After that I tried (and still use) Urban Decay All Nighter.  Tried Charlotte Tilbury's as well.  I DO like it with my powder foundation but DON'T like it with liquid foundation.  Love the fragrance.  It's a soft rose scent but it dissipates quickly.

I've used NYX setting spray in the past and it seemed to work well.

@SaveTheTurtles I think I'm going to try NYX setting spray, having never used a setting spray I don't want to pay a lot for it in case I don't like it.

I really loved the CT. I but the mini. I accident spilled it and needed one quick so I got the Milani one. It's ok. Nothing melts the makeup into the skin like the CT. The new urban decay hylauronic looks interesting too. I will have to purchase more setting spray soon as the Milani one is getting close to the bottom. I will purchase the CT MINI  again and get the urban decay one.
