Mac studio radiance serum powered foundation

Hi this is on sale at Belk and Macy's for $34.50. I would love to try a bottle of this because I really don't have but two brands of foundation I'm using right now and I want to branch out. I've read many threads on Mac foundations and heard you ladies say that they are a hard match. I have used the shade finder and listed three foundation shades to get a match online for me. Dior, L'Oreal Paris, and It cosmetics. The L'Oreal Paris is the closest match for me and unless I put a high-end brand in the shade finder it would not give me a match at all. So the closest match it gives me is an N12. Personally from the description, I think I need an N11. How close is the shade finder on the Mac website? And I'm a bit confused about all the different shades they have listed for this foundation. I can find Rosie undertones, neutral undertones and golden peachy undertones but nothing listed as just warm undertones. Can you ladies give me any advice about mac shades? I am truly a neutral undertone but I can wear a warm undertone and it cosmetics. I'm not a rosy undertone I am not a cool undertone I like Rosie shades and makeup just not in my foundation.tia

Re: Mac studio radiance serum powered foundation

The It Cosmetics foundation I have is nude glow cc foundation in the shade fair and fair light. The fair is a bit too light and the fair light shade that I purchased from QVC is too dark. At the It Cosmetics site the fair light shade appears lighter than what I received from QVC so I don't know if it's a mistake in shade marking from the manufacturer or if there's that much difference between shades 🤷.
The Dior is the forever glow in N1. The L'Oreal is Infallible pro glow in 202 which is a perfect match.
Depending on the advice of you ladies here who have used Mac, I'll either buy it or not. If not, I'm going to try either the L'Oreal Infallible foundation or the True Match since both have excellent reviews, I can easily shade match and easily return either. TIA again!! Have a great weekend 😁

@Midmod  - I have never worn a MAC foundation but have heard numerous times that to get a good match for MAC you really need to go into a MAC store or an ULTA that carries MAC or maybe MACY's, if they carry it.  Their shades are so confusing.

@JudyL
I remember reading that here on this board. Unfortunately I don't have an Ulta or a Mac store anywhere near me. Thank you for always answering all of my posts. You are always patient with my questions lol. 💞

Re: Mac studio radiance serum powered foundation

I’m going to warn you. 1) don’t trust the shade match on the MAC website. I know my shade and it gave me a totally different shade and much darker. 2) I tried and hated it. It was too glowy/shiny and felt greasy on. 3) I have seen bad reviews of this when it first came out. 4) if you truly want to try it then you can check out Macy’s which is having a sale on certain foundations and I’m pretty sure this is one of them. Probably due to sales being lackluster. Also getting matched at MAC is a pain you know where.

Re: Mac studio radiance serum powered foundation

I used to wear Mac maybe 30 years ago, I even went to the Mac Studio Store and could never find a good match for my olive skin. I finally gave up.

Yes @allthingsgirly67
That's where I saw it too. I was buying something else and saw it. I trusted all the OP here and didn't buy.
I did buy the L'Oreal Infallible foundation and it's so very similar to Estee Lauder double wear. It's pretty on but not as glowy as I like my foundation to be. I'll just slap on some Elf Halo Glow under it. Ty!

@Midmod Ilia has a great serum foundation that's available at Sephora.  I used this for a minute to cover up the white caste from my mineral spf's.
