Not a make-up item per se, but I am in need of travel make-up brushes. Am looking at a couple of Bare Minerals brushes on E-Bay.

Artis brushes ! I've read so many glowing reports from consumers and consultants alike and was intrigued. To my surprise, QVC's offer was the least expensive trio I could find online. Amazon's inventory disappeared in one day after the Q presentation so I ordered the larger foundation oval from the company .

Why this indulgence ?

'Cause I'm old(er) and know from experience that if you buy cheap you get cheap, and you'll have to repurchase that item when the hairs fall out and it starts to smell musty, or you can't get them clean enough without soaking in bleach, and you develop adult cystic "acne" from smearing bacteria and fungi back onto your skin with each swipe.........

and because every time I pass a mirror there's this old lady looking back at me and sometimes she looks better than others, sometimes I actually catch her smiling.

I highly recommend Sedona Lace brushes. They make the best synthetic brushes -- no shedding, no staining, and well-designed. They have at least two travel sets that you might like. They almost always have a promo going on, and often it doesn't involve a coupon, which means that can then google for a promo code on top of that. Good CS, too.

no particular new must have......with all of the items i have i can transition easily from one season to another, one day to another, one event to another. if i see something new and interesting i will buy it.

New lipsticks or lipglosses seem to be the norm for me, but this year I'm going to change things up a bit. I have WAY too many lip products. Going to look at purchasing a few staple items for my wardrobe.
