AngelPuppy:  the microfiber cloths I use on my face are thicker, softer, and fluffier than the ones I use for cleaning.   I get them all on Amazon from different vendors (there are many choices).  Each cloth is the size of a standard wash cloth.

For removing makeup I do use a cleanser with a dampened microfiber cloth.

The only time I use the cloth dry is when applying makeup if I need to 'erase' a mistake or tone down too much blush or remove eye shadow dust.  Smiley Happy

And the microfiber cloths go in the laundry hamper after each use.  They are easy to keep clean and it's better for your face not to re-use tools that have make-up or dirt residue.

Thank you so much for your reply and for explaining to me what you do and the difference!

I ordered Polyte Premium face cloths...pack of 6, from Amazon.   After much research and reading here likes and dislikes,  I think these I'm going to like these.  They are thicker, and have 2 sides of fiber, one longer, and the other side more shorter.   I ordered the pink.

@Dazlin  Just ordered 2 sets (two different colors to distinguish uses), thanks so much. Yes, these do seem much better than the thinner ones I have. Great price.

Gratitude to @Shanus for the "use on makeup brushes" tip! Of course.

I like my face cloths on the thin side. That makes it easier to wring them out and reuse. The thick ones seem to be difficult to rinse and I feel like I'm not getting my face clean with them.

Besides using them to wash your face, I keep a dry one on my lap during makeup application to wipe my brushes on. Quick step to a clean brush until wash day.

@Shanus

that is a good idea.

i actually use bar towels that i get at sams club. i like that they are white and that i can bleach them. they also have nice texture so that they grab a lot of makeup off of the brushes.

a pack of 24 is under $15......so many uses around the house.

@SilleeMee   That's why I don't use those microfiber cloths for face washing either. I tried it once and thought they were rather small compared to my regular wash clothes. That's how I got the idea to use them as "brush wiping cloths". Much better that paying to return them.

Ugh! I despise microfiber!!! I only use them to wipe down my SS appliances. That's all they are good for! I just can't imagine using them on my face. YUCK!

@ID2 ,  I agree the thin ones are the ones I also use for my stainless steel appliances...I would never use them on my face, only because I dont like the texture of those. The ones I ordered are 13x13 thicker and fluffy.  They just came today, they look and feel great.  Just like a regular washcloth, but with 2 sided fibers, one side nice and thick, other is shorter.   POLYTE MICROFIBER WASHCLOTHS 🙂

Buy plain white wash cloths, stacks of them.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.
