I decided to try some new body butter products (new to me) from iherb.com. Deep Steep $9.68 for 8 oz. - Vanilla Coconut with oils of coconut, argan and shea butter. Very rich and thick and glides on the skin and softens immeditely. This is a sweet scent but if you like vanilla and coconut, you will like it.
Nature's Gate body butter Shea Butter Mint Scented. The mint is light like a mint leave. Another thick bb that glides on. $6.29
Then I selected a creamy body lotion in Almond scent. It's by Out of Africa. It's creamy and thick and has an awesome almond scent. $6.29.
You can get all this $22.26 and have 3 different scents. Free shpg. @ $20. This also has shea butter.

@Katcat1 Thanks for the suggestions! I'm almost done with my tub of The Body Shop Butter and want to try something new... without the high price!

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have wonderful body butters. My favorite is the coconut body butter. It smells incredibly good and is very moisturinzing. During the year, they will offer other "flavors" but I think the coconut is carried year-round. Also, it's very reasonably priced - you get a large tub for $5 or $6.

The term Body Butter means different things in different product lines. Sometimes the body butter is a very thick cream that is best used only in selected areas. Sometimes body butter is a rich and thick form of body cream that can be used all over the body and absorbs well.
My favorite affordable product is the Body Cream in the large tube from Bath and Body works. It's very rich, has shea butter and other moisturizing ingredients, and absorbs well.
In the winter I can use it all over. It's as rich and moisturinzing as many products labeled body butter.
Bath and Body Works also has body butter. I like this also, but for affordability and moisturization, the body cream is great. B&BW runs lots of sales, in store and online. So you can often find the products at up to half off.
Perlier also makes excellent body creams and body butters. The thickness and richness vary.... they have many different lines/scents and the ingredients and characteristics of the body creams and body butters vary. Some are whipped, some are thick, some have shea butter, some have many other moisturizing ingredients. You can find Perlier products on HSN. Around the time of their shows they run specials on individual products, although specials on kits of multiple products are often the best value. The Perlier Shea Butter line is the richest, and the Shea Butter body creams are thicker than most other companies body butters.
I also recently tried the Korres body cream. I think it's an excellent moisturizer, but I haven't found a fragrance I like yet. And even during their HSN visits, I think they are on the pricey side compared to other high quality options.

Thank you for sharing! Im looking for a new brand since JM is expensive and once I finish what I have I want find a different brand that is not so expensive.
I tried Tree Hut from Walmart. It was a nice texture but it did not do much so wont buy that again!!

Another vote for Trader Joe's. I use them (I have both the coconut and a vanilla one they offered several months ago) right out of the shower while my skin is still wet.

@Katcat1Thanks for the info. I have & do love Deep Steep body wash in passion fruit-quava with aloe vera & shea butter. Lathers well & so soft on the skin. I have purchased before online but found it at Homegoods, 8 fl oz. Got 2! On my 2nd tube.

@Katcat1So glad you posted Deep Steep as a lower cost alternative to the ladies. Now, that brand is a hidden Gem! Plus cruetly free & natural.
