My suggestion would be to go to a beauty supply place, like Sally, for a quality color safe shampoo and conditioner. I think the Ion one is the current rave.

The ION sulfate free for colored hair is the BEST

Have been using for many months: Suave Moroccan Infusion Color Care Shampoo (and matching conditioner). Wow, is all I can say. Gentle on color, for sure and it leaves my straight hair smooth, shiny, soft, and full of volume. It's ridiculously cheap, but it does a wonderful job for me. I exercise daily, so I wash my hair daily, and this poo and conditioner keeps my hair happy and moisturized.

ITA.. I started using the Suave Moroccan for Colored hair shampoo a few months ago after they were out of the Suave Almond and Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner at my drugstore....love how it makes my hair sleek and easy to style.....I use the conditioner also.
I see no reason to spend a fortune on shampoo.

I absolutely adore AVEDA haircare. I have baby fine, color treated hair and use SHAMPURE shampoo and conditioner. It's safe for color treated hair and provides body and moisture without weighing your hair down. They also carry their COLOR CONSERVE shampoo and conditoner if color retention is your main concern or if body/volume is - PURE ABUNDANCE shampoo and conditoner. Out of those 3 mentioned SHAMPURE is the lowest price-wise.

I've used Aveda for 20 yrs now and cannot say enough good things about this fantastic brand. It literally saved my hair! I had very dry over processed hair. I started using the Shampure shampoo (they didn't have the conditioner at the time) and Rosemary Mint conditioner with once a week deep conditioner Cherry Almond Bark. I could feel the difference in my hair, silky soft in one washing! My hair by the end of 1 month was like a new head of hair. It is fabulous!

I like Aveda, too, even though I avoided it for years because I thought it was over-priced and pretentious. I don't color my hair because I use their clove products, but I did try the color conserve line and it is one of the most luxurious formulas ever. The price may put you off, but the product lasts forever. No need to apply, rinse, and repeat. One application does the job and a liter of shampoo lasts at least a year for me.

jordan2,

The absolute best shampoo and conditioner I've ever used is KENRA. Found at ULTA and some salons. The shampoo comes in several formulas, color treated hair, volume, etc. It's terrific!

Re: Looking For Shampoo and Conditioner

I rotate three: Kirkland, Unite and Neuma. I buy the Unite and Neuma from my hair stylist. I love both of them but they are expensive. She has a punch card that I use, so that brings down the cost a little. Since I am the only one using them, they last a long time (close to a year). This is my justification to myself anyway! {#emotions_dlg.crying}
