I have been using Perricone's No Makeup Foundation and really like it. I only use a little, it matches my skin, and I use a brush. Very light but covers.

I am one that always has a few different foundations in my collection.
From the drugstore, I have and like my Revlon Colorstay, Makeup Revolution and Physicians Formula.
High end, I just recently got the Ilia Skin Tint Serum and I love it!! It’s so good and offers good coverage that is buildable. It feels like nothing on my skin. I also have the Makeup Forever HD foundation, but I use this one more in the cooler months. I would like to try the NARS Sheer glow soon.

@monicakm wrote:Revlon Colorstay used to be my go to foundation even after my skin became dry (I just changed formulas). Then I switched to EL Double Wear. It's nice but, eh, maybe too oily/sticky...just feels heavy on my face. So for dry slightly textured skin, what would you suggest? I need to keep it under $50. Medium coverage but buildable. Thanks ladies!
@monicakm have you tried Doublewear Light? It is unscented, covers imperfections and does not have the sticky, opaque consistency that regular Doublewear has.

Here are my favorite three (depending on what I'm doing):
Dr.Denese Day Cream ---It's a multitask product of SPF/moistuirizer and foundation. It matches to your skin tone so no hassle with "what color do I get",. It is light on skin, lasts and looks natural.
Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick--When I want to wear "makeup" this is what I choose. It feels like silk and lasts. It makes your skin look better but not like you have makeup on.
Laura Geller Balance & Brighton--It's a mutlitask product with SPF and color correcting pigments. It is very light on the skin and can be layers if necessary. I wear this on days that I don't have to worry about the sun.
I have very fair, sensitive skin with a ton of allergies so I may have more choices than some. This is what works for me and keeps my skin in good condition.
Hope one of them works for your needs.

@monicakm For quite a few years I wore Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer until the company was sold and then it turned orange on me. (Ingredients changed).
I recently found Bobbi Brown fluid to powder that you don't look like you are wearing makeup. Sweatproof (big plus in summer) and I can get up to medium coverage. It's $40 but I purchase when there is a sale.
My suggestion is Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury. Two top brands with wonderful products. Read descriptions, read reviews and buy on sale. Usually on their websites if it is your 1st purchase you receive a discount. You can always write down your favorites and then create another thread and ask us if we are familiar with the product.

I don't know about forever foundation as formulas change and my skin changes. I have been using Bobbi Brown foundations for the last several years and while I may wander from time to time, I keep coming back. I use the foundation stick in the cooler months and I use the Skin liquid foundation in the summer. I especially like it that I can find both a formula that works and a color match. I use a slightly darker shade in the summer as my skin tans very easily.

I have not tried it but I'll put in on my list of things to do next time I'm in the city. Thanks

I agree with @Icegoddess. I don't think there is such a thing as a forever foundation. I have several in my foundation repertoire that I love.

What are some of your favorite tinted moisturizers for over 50 dry skin?

I always go back to Lancomes Regenie lift spf 20. Very easy application, very natural looking. Lasts a long time, not much needed, but you can build if you want more coverage. I haven't had to go heavy at all, because this foundation gives me a nice coverage, and never looks fake. Doesn't settle in lines, and pores are not noticeable. It's a bit pricey, $48, but mine lasts a year, or so...really depends on your daily use. Many, many shades to choose from. I get mine from either Macys, or Ulta...you can get samples from Macys and try at home.
