Long hair & menopause

I know the long hair vs short hair at a certain age has been discussed at length here, but I was wondering if anyone has cut their long hair short just because long hair makes you feel too hot when you're having those moments. For me that's every 2 minutes & I'm ready to take the scissors to my own hair right now!
