I have an email in to their customer service but haven't heard back yet. I was wondering if anyone knows the answer? I do know they don't test their FINAL product on animals but I'm trying to find out if they test any of their ingredients on animals.
I know they are not on Peta's list but that doesn't mean anything as companies have to apply and there are many not on Peta's list that are cruelty free.
TIA!

Phyrra has them listed on her cruelty free list. I think she is generally pretty vigilant about that. It will be interesting to hear what the company emails you.

Good question. I have found a number of Beauty blogs that claim the company does not do animal testing, based on emailing the company directly. They all received the same - or a similar response- which said they did not test their products (sometimes worded as "final" product") on animals.
However, as a number of posters on the blogs brought up, this is not the same as being cruelty-free - whether they use ingredients that are tested on animals, for instance.
I too will be interested in hearing how they answer you. Did you ask specifically about ingredients and not just the final product?

Yes, ma'am I did. I told them I was specifically wanting to know if individual ingredients are tested on animals and that I was NOT asking about the final product. Like you, all I kept seeing was that they were responding that the final product is not tested on animals but nothing about individual ingredients. I was surprised no one followed up with them and asked about individual ingredients.
I will certainly post their response when (if??) I get it.

But don't the vast majorities of companies use ingredients that had been at one time tested on animals?

Living Proof's response for those interested:
"Hi,
Living proof does not test our products or our ingredients on animals, nor do we ask others to do so on our behalf.
As an international company, we have been in full worldwide compliance with the European Union regulations regarding such testing of cosmetics. We apply these same EU principles across all products we sell, irrespective of market venue.
Importantly, Living-Proof continues to fully ensure the safety of our ingredients and products without compromise. This is accomplished by using state-of-the-art non-animal testing methods as well as reviewing all available sources of safety data.
Thank you,
Briana Moccia
Living Proof"

Anynone try that Humidity spray? I was so excited when I saw this and thought it would be so great. It did absolutely nothing for me. I thought it would be nice because it is a product that you can spray on dry hair. Well, for me, it was a waste of money and I was glad I bought only the small can.

I use their volumnizing shampoo and the texturizing mist. That is all I use on my hair. I like these two products. I have a hard time finding things that don't flatten my hair. It is thinning on the top and the mist makes it look normal.
