Living Proof Thickening Mousse Question

I just received the Living Proof Thickening Mousse and I was wondering if the can should have been sealed at least at the top? I thought that it would have have the clear plastic over the top that had to be peeled or cut off since it's a beauty product. Also, the box was labeled Living Proof and it opened like a box would open but there was a cut through the top instead and this area was sealed with tape. I'm wondering if this was a return. Can anyone tell me if they had ordered this product and if it was sealed?
