Liquid Foundation Help Please

I used Mary Kay Day Radiance liquid foundation until they discontinued it and tried the Timewise Luminous 3D type. I do not like it at all and would like suggestions from others who had to find a new brand. I'm 68 with good skin. Thanks so much!

Re: Liquid Foundation Help Please

I just bought 2 new foundations over the weekend. One is from Chanel and the other is Bobbi Brown. So far I like the Bobbi Brown just a tad bit better.

I've used this for over 10 years...it has great coverage and it looks very natural.

Not drying at all. Brush that comes with this foundation is great and you can buff..buff away unil you like what you see.. and I'm 62

@suanne     You need to tell us the kind of finish you want and what type of coverage.

Re: Liquid Foundation Help Please

I haved used Chanel and loved it.  Currently though, I don't want to spend a huge amount of money and I really like L'Oreal Infallible 24.  It works well for my skin (dry/sensitive) but I'm not sure which skin type it is targeted for.  I just know I like it and keep coming back to it.

@suanne - I'm 67 and have been told that I have good skin so I'll take their word for it.  LOL I am usually light to medium with cool undertones - probably lean more towards medium than light.  Would say I have dry skin.

I use L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow in Natural Buff and love it.

@suanne  Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is an all-purpose liquid.  It wears well on a variety of skintypes. It can be applied very lightly with a barely-there touch, or if you prefer layer it on thick and this foundation will not look and feel like a cakey mess. It's an exceptional product.

Best advice I can give is go to the department store cosmetic counters, Sephora or Ulta & ask for samples so you can try at home. Definitely get color matched & don't guess at the shade. Natural light is best to see how close it is to your skin. The stores have fluorescent lighting, so the color might look great in store but when you get outside in natural light, it looks terrible.

Best to always go lighter than darker when choosing a foundation.
Wear it for a few hours so you can see if it oxidizes. It shouldn't.

I always heard the hype about this foundation, but never tried it until recently. It is hands down the best I ever used (and I have tried A LOT of foundations).

For the record, I have combination skin. It is long lasting and I don't need to touch up throughout the day. The variety of shades made matching easy (for me).
