I have been wearing the same color of Beauty Control lipstick for 40 years, it was dicontinued. I bought every tube I could get my hands on in the last 10 years. I have 3 tubes left but they have all turned to the oily smell and not easy to put on.

Is there anything I can do to be able to use the last of my lipstick?

I don't know what I am going to do, they do not sell tubes of lipstick anymore and I do not like the gloss type. This is the only lipstick I can wear that does not make my lips peel. What am I going to do?Woman HappyHeart

They're still available at Ebay and BeautiControl.

I always have at least 12 lipsticks - different colors, brands, etc. Check out walmart dot com -- I like Loreal and Rimmel. I also like Avon. I can't imagine using the same brand for 40 yrs - and same color. Lipstick, like makeup, has an expiration date. Looks like Beauticontrol is sold at Amazon - try a different shade - change is good.

This happened to me when the stores stopped stocking my favorite Loreal lipstick.  I discovered buy me beauty.  They have a lot of discontinued items.  I think you might be able to get it there.  I have been purchasing my loreal #846 ever since.  I sure hope they have yours.  Let us know.Smiley Happy

Wow - my friend sold BeautiControl umpteen years ago. They made some great products.

I am thinking that perhaps you could remove them from the tubes, melt them down, and put the liquid back in some other holder until it hardens back up. You might do some Internet searching to see if that's possible; perhaps because your product is old it may not be advisable.

I'm always bummed when a favorite lipstick color is discontinued. But although it may take a bit of searching I find something new to replace my discontinued color. I've taken a lipstick that is just about to run out to Sehpora or another lipstick counter and ask a sales rep what they have that is close.

I've also noticed that some of the lipsticks in my "fear of discontinuation" stash no longer suit me or better formulas have come out.

Three Color Custom Specialists will replicate lipsticks, makeup etc.  You can google their website.

I think your lipsticks are rancid and need to be tossed if they are oily and smell.  I don't think there is any saving them.

Perhaps you can google a dupe for this beloved color.

You have to loosen that grip on the past and relax, sweetie.  Sure there are lots of lip glosses and tube of gunk out there, but there are also LOTS of tube lipsticks. Walgreen, Target, etc.

I'll bet the color you chose 40 years ago doesn't look all that great on you now.  I am 68, and no way do the colors I chose even 10 years ago seem right on me anymore.

Makeup should be fun.  Go out and experiment with all the beautiful colors they offer.

I would first buy a tinted Lip Balm in a shade you like...You need to dump your favorites, oil smelly is rancid. I would suggest that you use organic coconut oil with a small amount of brown sugar to exfoliate your lips. Then do a search on youtube. There are many moisturing lipsicks to choose from & just type in best lipsticks for dry lips..Best Wishes Smiley Happy
