Re: Lipstick Queen Question?

I really like her lipsticks and just ordered some more, the Jean Queen and one of the sets. I have very fair skin, pale lips and her lipsticks look great on me (I think so anyway). I love how you can build up the color with additional applications. I don't mind that they don't last, because any lipstick with real staying power is going to be drying. Her lipsticks are very moisturizing. I also love how they do not have an annoying fragrance. I'm really sensitive to fragrance in lipsticks, MAC for example bothers me, but I can wear lipstick queen without issue. If you do a google image search you can see many bloggers testing her lipsticks out and you will see just how pretty they are in real life.

I really like her lipsticks. Medieval is a red I can actually wear confidently. I'd like to try Jean Queen one of these days.

Re: Lipstick Queen Question?

I have Sinner Rose (love, but does show flakes on lips, so scrub and balm first) -- beautiful shade on me. Jean Queen lipstick and gloss are gorgeous!! I get so many compliments when I wear it. For reference, I'm fair, cool-neutral coloring, blonde hair, blue eyes. HTH!! I would suggest googling swatches to see them on people with coloring similar to yours (remember computers might have coloring slightly different than real life), or Ulta. My Ulta has her full line.

KatCat, your comments about Poppy's appearance really sadden me. I appreciate many of your posts, but I don't understand this at all.

tucsongal, I am not perfect. This is a woman selling lipstick and far from attractive and having the nose bobbed may improve sales or not. Most people may think it but not say it and I was being honest -- maybe too honest but I said what I felt. I just noticed that you never posted any comments about the lipstick but rather came into this thread and make comments. What is that all about?

Re: Lipstick Queen Question?

KatCat1, I understand what you are saying, Poppy is not a super model. Her business does seem to be highly successful, she must have a reason she chooses not to have surgery. This is a comment, not a criticism of her choice.

I have the Sinner Pinky Nude and I really like it. It's not a bubblegum nor bright pink, just soft and natural looking, and just the right color for me. I find it to be moisturizing too. I am fair skinned with cool undertones and blonde hair.

Re: Lipstick Queen Question?

I have Medieval and Jean Queen. They are nice but don't have staying power on me. I think Doris Dalton makes great lipsticks in great shades at an affordable price. I love the pink shade in her Perfect Nude set.

As for Poppy, good for her for not altering her appearance. She has often commented about how she long ago decided to embrace her distinctive look. I wish more people would just be happy with what they've been given and not strive for someone else's idea of "perfection."

I'm a medium tan in BE original loose foundation and have jet black hair. My best lip colors are pinks, nudes, and corals.

LQ makes some of my fave lippies = Butterfly Ball 'float' will be repeatedly purchased (in my top 5 of all time, period) , Saint 'pink' , Saint 'coral' , and Big Bang gloss 'expansion'

I will be picking up 'Jean Queen' and 'Jungle Queen' sometime later this year.

Re: Lipstick Queen Question?

I ordered her lipstick once ages ago. Unfortunately, it was just too dark of a shade for me.

As for wondering what reason the vendor might have for NOT surgically altering her looks, I'd say maybe she is a confident person who appreciates herself and doesn't bother with those who would criticize her for something so superficial.

BTW, we don't have to express every thought that comes into our head. Isn't that what we teach our children? It's called discretion and good judgment.

I remember someone once calling me and saying I needed to turn on QVC just to take a look at her. All I can think is that she is comfortable with the nose God gave her.
