Been hearing about this item - is the consistency like a gloss?  Is it used more as a lip balm or more as a lipgloss or lipstick would be used?  Just curious if anyone has tried it and what did you think of it?

I tried one lip oil, clarins. If I remember correctly it was like a very thin lip gloss.  It made my lips so dry that they hurt.

@JudyL Lip oil is a little, looser than gloss.  I've tried the Skinn Lip Oil and was kind of "meh" about it.  It's fine but not something I swear by or think is a must in my routine.  I like a nightly lip treatment (and sometimes in the AM), but have others to choose from that work just fine.

@JudyL I have been using Beekman Lip Oil.  Item # 791-097 on HSN.  It works really well and I have very dry lips all year round.  I use mine mostly before bed but have worn it also during the day.  I like their lip balms too.  A little pricey but great stuff, it's also on free shipping Smiley Happy

I had a lip oil I really loved a few years ago.  It was a drug store brand like Maybelline, nothing special, and it was tinted.  It was like a lip gloss but not sticky.  However, for some reason something stuck on it and I could no longer get it open.  Even my husband couldn't get it open.   And apparently they discontinued it.  I went on a search to find a new one, but so far no such luck.  The one that I did try dried out within minutes of putting it on my lips.  I couldn't throw it away fast enough.  Don't remember the brand though.  Wish I could so I would remember what not to get again.
